Emotional issues
As Breast Cancer Awareness Month enters its last week, I am reminded of the struggle my sister went through with the disease several years ago. She lost her battle at age 41, and looking back at some the poems and newspaper columns I wrote at the time, it's obvious I was struggling to come to grips with that. Emotional events -- the death of a loved one, falling in love, break ups, etc. -- can provide great catalysts for your writing. And writing is a great way to let those emotions out and prove to be "therapeutic." It helps. I'd like to share some examples of those writings next post, but in the meantime, go hug your mom, wife, sister, aunt...whoever....hug them tight. 0 comments from 0 users
