Awakenings
I jolted wide awake last night, actually early this morning, with a potential lead paragraph for the true crime story I'm writing. I love it and hate it when that happens (depending on how long it takes to go back to sleep). Here's what came to me: "I shook hands with a baby killer. I grasped the same right hand that held a 3-year-old face down in a bathtub and strangled an 11-year old with a telephone cord. The handshake and accompanying verbal greeting seemed like the right thing to do at the time. I was standing in line at a Subway restaurant when he walked in and we were face to face. I couldn't slug him. So, I stuck out my hand." Well...that's just the initial thoughts, I'm sure I'll tweak it. Maybe I'm on my way now. 0 comments from 0 users
