Non-fiction book proposals, Part something
I know this seems like it never ends, but a proposal is probably the next most important thing you'll do besides actually write the book. The next portion of the proposal is sample chapters. Most agents or editors will tell you how much to send, normally three chapters or the first 40 pages or so. These sample chapters will demonstrate your writing style and help to convince the agent or editor that your project is indeed worth pursuing. I'll try to wrap this up next time with a look at what you should include in your proposal about marketing and promoting your book.
