A sad day in Ballcrusher nation...
As we did not get the result we wanted in our first outing of the winter season. Although the other team had help from Mr. Magoo's brother, Mullet Magoo, who called the game with a hat pulled low over his face. But it wasn't a bad outing, we were kicking, getting on base and fielding was OK. Beer was consumed, laughs were had which is most important. Team picture next time. For the newcomers... Wes lived up to his hype of the best with his super stick 'em gloves.....or uh...his awesome hands. Leslie didn't get to body check Red like she wanted, but hey, there is always next time, next player, next feud. Lauren played well in center field. And Roni was good in her first kickball outing she will be missed when gone but welcomed when she returns. The rest of us vets played well. Game ball goes to "The Best" who looks like a promising kickball legend. While we don't have a game next week because of the holiday we will be practicing.There is more strategy to this kickballery than one would realize and we will be ready. Aprill, you don't need practice!!! It takes a real pro to catch the ball with both hands occupied!
