BjLewis - > Hollywoodland -> So I saw Hancock Wednesday...
So I saw Hancock Wednesday...

And yeah I am late with posting my review on it, but I have been very very busy procrastinating with packing my stuff for my big July 18 move. But I have seen the movie and it reminded me of "I am Legend." Why? Well the first half of the movie is great with Will Smith playing a character who seems to be alone in the world and then the second half becomes typical Hollywood-esque movie making.

The movie did have a twist that I didn't see coming, which I give them props for, but really all the did was open the door for many many other questions they didn't tie up by the end of the movie. This is not a movie personally i think should get a sequel, but given the money made in the opening weekend of $66 million and near week-long earning of $107 million, you might see one. We all know Smith is not adverse to shooting sequels.

Jason Bateman steals the show as the man trying to change Hancock's image to the public. Charlize Theron is OK, but she adds to the questions you will have at the end of the movie like I said. I dunno, suspend logic and reason for a couple hours and you can see Hancock. I didn't not like it, but like Wanted, I felt like this could have been better.

I think your review is dead-on, Bj. I liked the first half, too, and then definitely had to suspend disbelief for the rest. Was "Hancock" based on a comic book, or an original script?
