GabeSemenza - > Crowdsourcing -> Global warming? What about Texas warming?
Global warming? What about Texas warming?

Extreme drought, food shortages, civil unrest. Some say Texas' future is filled with those realities.

Global warming, although still called a hoax by some, is virtually accepted as fact by scientists.

But what about Texas warming?

Advocate reporter Tara Bozick is digging into a story about the effects of global warming on the Lone Star state.

San Antonio Bay, for example, has warmed in the last 25 years. That's not debatable. Whether the warming is part of a natural cycle is a debate, however.

Tara interviewed the author of a book dedicated to exploring Texas warming. The book hits stores this fall.

The author, John Nielsen-Gammon, a state climatologist, says that without greenhouse gases, the warming of the bays could be deemed cyclical.

But greenhouse gases are documented. The gases have tripped weather models, and Nielsen-Gammon is determining warming effects on Texas while considering the effects from the gases.

What do you make of Texas warming?

If you'd like to add your thoughts or examples to Tara's story, call her at 361-580-6514 or tbozick@vicad.com.

There are some interesting things going on when it comes to the “Global Warming” issue.

Many of those same supporters that quote the “Nature Nazis” as I call them, on the “Facts” and “long term effects” of this warming of our planet simply amaze me.

All these folks quote Scientist, telling us “the sky is falling”, (for those of you who miss it that is sarcasm), yet most of that same bunch will tell you that you cannot trust science when science contradicts their belief in creation.

My  good Christian friends, many who are adamant that Science cannot be trusted in their data as to the age of the earth, man, the no worldwide flood,  yet they line up in support of the “Global Warming” is going to kill us all and man Is the sole cause..  “We should do something about it now.. Congress needs to pass laws that cripple America and allow the Chinese to become the world leader in all arenas. Bush cannot do anything”

I suppose when Science is supporting your pet project it is creditable.

Make up your minds folks.  Is Science fallible or is it fact?
