Don't ya just love it when the little guy gets some justice?
Ya know how it feels when you've been done a grievous wrong and you're able to face those who did you that wrong and prove yourself? Man, It's great! I went to one of the two largest home improvement centers and made purchace today and was undercharged by $64. I got home and noticed it and went back and asked for the manager. I explained what happened and he said, "Wow!" when I handed him the receipt and my credit card. I told him not to say Wow yet, I'm going to heap coal of fire on your head! He looked quizzical and I explained it was a Biblical term.
I told him that when I needed a job in the worst way L***'* wouldn't hire be because of a 33 year old misdemeanor. I told him that Jesus said that those who do not forgive will not be forgiven and that goes for corporations as well as individuals.
In fact L***'* is aware that since my high school aged indiscretion I have served my country in both the National Guard and Army Reserve and have two Honorable Discharges and a Service Citation. They are aware that I have served on my church council and been a civic leader.
Still neither L***'* or H*** D**** will allow me to sell wire nuts and breaker panels to the public despite a sterling work record and numerous letters of recommendation.
There is justice in this world and God allows it in His own time!
I'll still take the high road and shop with them for what I need. Keep piling on the coals!
Those who will not forgive will not be forgiven!

Twodaysoldrndirt? Are you kiddin' me? That's how I feel tonight! 12:22 AM and my arms and shoulders are sore. Hip is sore all the way to the thigh! Neck is sore and so is my left big toe! Twodaysoldrndirt! Yup! That's me! I've noticed over the years that when people in $1000 suits come down from on high(Austin) to educate us and I catch them in a galling, bold-faced lie the local movers and shakers would rather believe them than myself! Blows my mind! These two stores could care less about my accomplishments since high school. They just don't care! Very sick people! posted by

Just a different look at the Peter Principal in action. Honesty will always leave the weirdest look on peoples faces, it's just ashamed they are not used to it.

"Educated beyond their intelligence level!" Now that is indeed a profound observation. I have another one: Educated beyond moral and ethical thought! I mean how many times have you seen it. A highly educated academic looking you straight in the face professing something you absolutely know to be untrue! I saw it many times while serving on the Citizens Forum for the Lower Guadalupe Water Supply Project. They've been educated out of their conscience! That's how seemingly intelligent people can justify uranium mining or denying employment to a man for a 33 year old misdemeanor! posted by

What is really wierd about L**** is that when you pay by credit card, at the end they ask to verify the last four digits of your credit card number. I said why, they said to make sure it is mine. I said all I have to do is look at the card you gave back to me again in my hand and give it to you, you have no idea if it is me or not so how is that making sure it is not stolen. You did not ask for my drivers license.
It went back and fourth like that so finally gave up and walked out. They did not want make sure it was me, just that the last four digits were the same. Not the 3 numbers on the back, the last four on the front. And not any ID.
They said it came out of Corporate, whatever they are paying the people to think those things up is too much. Educated beyond their intelligence level. posted by

Kenneth, My wife and I love doing stuff like this. it almost always causes the clerk or manager to look at us like we're crazy. They can't believe that someone will go out of their way to be honest.
