America in a sad state!
A look at the sad and sick!
  • In many of the most heavily taxpayer subsidized, prestigeous colleges in America, conservative speakers are shouted down by intolerant students while a long list of draft dodgers, Islamofascists and enemies of the United States are hailed by those same students as heros!
  • Do I have this straight? The President didn't go to Louisana and the Democrats whined that he didn't care. He did go to California and the Democrats whined that it was a "distraction!"
  • Bush refuses to properly protect the borders here and in Iraq the borders are wide open too! Uh, HELLO! Mr. Bush! Remember Vietnam? Terrorists, supplies and munitions came across from China and Russia. Please sir, learn from history!
  • Our Constitution makes no provision for fighting an undeclared war! Anyone remember that document?
  • CBS, CNN, ABC and NBC, please don't tell me you support our troops and then neglect to point out the heroism of the majority and then shine a light on the mistakes of the very few. No wonder your viewership continues to fall!
  • Yes, the rumor is true! I do believe we should bring back the public stocks! Someone go find Barbara Boxer!
  • Iran recently accused the U.S. of being fascist and Zionist at the same time! Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! This from the same people who teach hate and intolerance to toddlers using cartoons! No wonder Islamofascists are welcome at Yale, Harvard and Columbia!
  • In the now popular effort to be inclusive and show diversity some Christians call Islam, Buddism and Hinduism sister religions. As you read this, across the world, these religions are oppressing and killing Christians!
  • The National Organization of Women(NOW) a politically and culturally correct bunch of very sick individuals has refused to take a position on a Sudanese decision to give a British school teacher 40 lashes for naming the class mascot after Muhammed!

MaryAnn, no I don't mind! I've prayed for our President. I disagree with him on trying to talk Israel into giving up more land for peace. That has never worked and never will. Each American President has tried to be the one to bring peace to Israel. It shall not happen until antichrist puts forth his seven year peace plan. God gave the land of Israel to the sons of Abraham as an inheritence for all time. It cannot be given away and doing so is a waste of time and shows a lack of respect for scripture. I pray for my family member's salvation, for the Pease of Jerusalem as David commanded and for the coming of the new Jerusalem as the Book of Revelation predicts. All of the sad, sick things I mentioned are just things leading up to that time. I am somewhat of a student of escatology and see some very bad times ahead for America. I pray less for the country and more for it's people. Especially those without Christ.

Hello Kenneth,

I agree with your point of view. I know that we have to WORK to try to make this country a much better place, but I think the power of prayer, and our country's relationship with God is the bulwark of this country's success or failure.

I read where the founding fathers were getting almost no where drafting the Constitution in the summer of 1787, when the 81-yr. old Ben Franklin said that if a sparrow can't fall to the ground without God knowing about it, is it probable for an empire to rise without His aid? He asked that they begin each session with prayer, and they did.

Anyway, I pray for our country. Do you mind talking about your prayer for our country?

Windy: mostly we agree. Personally, I don't think the public stock are cruel and unusual. It's a matter of how our paradigms have changed. You make some excellent points yourself!

I agree with you to the point that the Constitution (yes, I DO remember that document) provides that Congress has the power to DECLARE war.  However, the Constitution also makes the President Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces.  He doesn't need Congressional authority to send troops into combat situations.  Congress has the power to withhold funds, thus forcing the end of the conflict, but the President does indeed have the authority to put the country into a war without a Congressional declaration.

Your fourth bullet point asks if anyone remembers the Constitution.  I assume you want things done according to the greatest document ever writen by the hand of man.  Then, in your sixth bullet point, you want to bring back public stocks, a violation of the Constitutional ban on cruel and unusual punishment.  Which way do you want it?

I am in agreement with you in your outrage at radical muslims being welcomed at American universities.  I would like to see the State department immediately stop issueing entry visas to ANYONE from a predominately islamic country.  I would also like to see proceedings initiated to deport those who are already here.  If they are really interested in education, France has some in which they can enroll.
