Jesus Christ, the originator of Freedom from Religion! So that the REST of the story might be told about GBRAs address to the districts. Hey you! In the mirror! I'm talkin' to you! I'm guilty! Convict me now! Yup, big brother is alive and growing! And so is satan! Don't cry about unanswered questions! Go ask in person! Taking time to contemplate! Sweat helps! Would Wal-Mart and Sam's steal from you? Is America finished? Are we sliding downhill fast? Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek was always a favorite! Especially Mr. Spock! Taking time to contemplate! Sweat helps!
Amidst the cutting and splitting of firewood and the planting of fruit trees, the sweat and hard work always gives me pause to think. Louis L'Amour always said, "Take time to contemplate!" L'Amour, my literary and poetry mentor, was indeed a man of deep thought. I learned to love reading his work from my dad.
Anyway the sweat and work got me to thinking over a few things to see what I've learned over the past few years. I decided I'd put them down in words so maybe my son, Lance, might learn many of the things I learned way too late in life. In regards to spiritual things;
Regarding personal things;
Of things political;
Of things local;
Some will agree and some will disagree with all or parts of what I've said here but all know that I say what's on my mind without reservations! Guess I'm still politically incorrect too! Ok, I've cooled off! Time to mulch those new fruit trees and I have a date with a lovely ax!

How can anyone say that parents should be loved and honored no matter what? That's ridiculous! Not every parent is deserving of being honored. posted by

Abe, I use a heavy maul. It makes the wood JUMP apart when I split it. How have you been? I've lost 70 pounds and feel a little better but the diabetes is still bothering me. Any more than about an hour and a half on my feet and I have to sit down until the circulation returns. It's irritating. Can't write with a pen or pencil like I used to either. Fingers go numb! Drives me nuts. I know the number is small but the nasty feeling and comments towards me from the radically anti-nuke crowd hurt my feelings especially after all of the incredible amount of work I've done to protect our water resources. posted by
