So it's not food....

But it seems that the nether regions of the world have frozen over. That's right. I cut my hair. That long mop that was attached to my head. It's a long story that involves a free makeover with free makeup, clothes and hair styling (plus my first eyebrow waxing).

I would say I'm so excited, but it's definately taking some time to get used to. But at least some kid with cancer will have a fabulous blonde wig! (That's about the only way they could talk me into getting it this short.)

So now my long, luxurious head of hair is a shoulder-length layering job, but it's starting to grow on me.... And at least now I won't be pulling any 3-foot-long hairs from my food.

I got at least a foot, more like a foot and a half cut off. It's a little longer than shoulder length right now. I'll get a good pic soon and post it here. It took some getting used to, but I like it the more I work with it. And the more I learn how to use the flat iron. Wish me luck!

So where did you end up donating your hair to?  Locks of Love?  Wigs for Kids?  Beautiful Lengths?  How many inches were chopped?  I'm still growing out my hair to donate again.  I can't bring myself to have hair shorter than the top of my shoulders, so I grow out more than necessary.  I was starting to get aggravated with my hair, but I just needed a trim and I feel much better about it.  Long hair can get into so many things.   Come November though, I'll be joining you in enjoying taking a weight off my mind.

A bit, yes. And it's great walking into work and watching people's eyes pop out. I've gotten kind of a reputation for long hair, so this was the last thing a lot of people expected.

Doesn't it feel cool when you turn your head to the left and then to the right really fast?
