John Edwards & Barack Obama went straight for the jugular in going
after Hillary. They attacked the vote on calling the Iranian Revolutionary Council a terrorist organization. Saying it will give this president the excuse he needs to
go to war with Iran.

Hillary’s inconsistent answers were exposed on social security and at the end
of the debate she agreed with New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer's controversial plan to give driver's licenses to illegal immigrants but then a minute later started backtracking.
Now Bill Clinton was a master at being evasive but her facial expressions and
demeanor showed she is no Bill Clinton. Will this debate change the numbers?
I don’t know.

I think what was really exposed last night was status quo positions of the front runner.
How can my party complain about the secrecy in the Bush Administration
if Hillary does not turn over all her documents? I understand it gives the other
candidates an unfair advantage, because she will be the only candidate required to
do this. But if this lack of transparency is going to stop, someone has to take
the lead. The other is lobbyist money; Hillary has out raised all the candidates of
both parties in lobbyist money from Wall Street, defense department, and insurance
and drug companies. Some might see it as success but really it business as usual.
Somehow we must have a leader to take us to public financing because these lobbyist
have too much influence.

I am getting suspicious as to why the Bush Administration is getting their way on the
latest NSA spying bill. Did the telecommunication lobbyist have something to do
with it? I don’t know.

This may sound like a slam on Hillary but it really isn’t, it just exposes some of her
weakness in a primary. Great leaders learn form mistakes and they don’t
usually repeat them. Constructive criticism will only make a person stronger.

My world was turned over upside down last night, because the polls, media ,and I were flat wrong.  57% of the New Hampshire electorate are women, and they said “No you don’t” and showed up in droves to vote for Hillary Clinton. In the  25 years of being a political junkie, I have never seen anyone turn, a 15% deficit  into a victory in just 24 hours.

I will be happy no matter who the nominee, but I am glad Hillary was knocked down off her high horse, ate a little humble pie and I hope she becomes a better person for it.  Democrats do not want their  primary to be over. The Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton camps were shocked last night, that’s a good thing, because the Republican nominee will not go down without a fight.

The New Hampshire independents voted for John McCain assuming Barack Obama had it all wrapped up, and did not need their help. Even though the independents voted in the Republican primary, they did not vote for Ron Paul as expected.

John McCain and Mike Huckabee are in dire need of cash, even though they have small campaign staffs ,they cannot afford advertising of the Romney and Rudy Giuliani campaign . They will have to resort to that  free left wing media.  Mitt Romney’s loss is huge, because the New Hampshire is the neighboring state of Massachusetts where Romney was the governor,.even Henry Cabot Lodge won in that state ,in his run for the presidency.  I still think the GOP primary will go down to the wire without a clear front runner.

All in all it was good night, because an apology from Chris Matthews for underestimating Hillary ,and the look of disappointment on Sean Hannity's face is PRICELESS.

Y'all are still amazed by the polls being wrong? Amazing. People have learned to lie in polls, especially exit polls. Over 10 years now and gettting worse. I would just to mess with the main stream media. It is funny that people think the main stream are so much smarter than the citizen.  I was asked locally back in the 80's and I told them it is none of your business, the election was not over yet.

But then, I talked to a lady I went to high school with the other day.  She asked me who I was voting for Obama or Hillary, her remembering that I WAS a Democrat and raised in a Democrat household. I told her neither one and I am waiting to see who was going to win the Republican primary. She had no idea anybodyelse was running for president and did not know any of the names of the Republican candidates I mentioned to her. Luckily she said she may not vote this time.

Honest and true story, cross my heart.

Victorianbybirth, I don’t know what I did to impress you, but thanks anyway.

I guess people who dislike the media enjoyed the egg smeared all over their face.

All the polling data, talking heads, and blogs had a double-digit loss for Hillary.

The polling data was right on the Republican side, except for Mike Huckabee.  Most thought Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, or Ron Paul would come in third.

Corpus2008 don’t be fooled by the noisy conservatives ,because they do speak their mind in Victoria Texas and Democrats are still a little gun shy, but I look forward to reinforcements…….lol

Mike you have impressed me.  I almost commented last night on the polls, even the exit polls, being wrong, but since we had a nice exchange yesterday, I thought I would let that dog sleep.   I admit that even though I don't put much stock in polls I was surprised because the exit polls were so wrong.  I am glad she won for the same reasons you stated.  The Republicans will be down to the wire.  At least it will remain interesting.
