Wow, CG23sailor you went line by line, trying to completely discredit everything I wrote as either liberal or lefty. That's okay, because it's expected because I labeled everything right wing.

1. In the first statement, I was trying make a point that the un-American angle might have more relevance than the racial, because so far Barack Obama has not been running as a black candidate e.g. Iowa and New Hampshire votes.  Not trying to obscure just trying to point out that I've heard racist statements on both sides, all my life but un-American statements are rare.  Peggy Noonan (Wall Street columnist) described Trinity United’s congregation has being rather passive, while the Jeremiah Wright was into his anti-American rants.  This is just another conservative’s viewpoint.

2. The statements I was pointing out were made by a couple posters who have a reputation for making bigoted remarks, and they are making the well use of the time right now to exploit the race issue on this particular thread.  To say all 8000 members of that particular church are bigots is just not true. That church is on the south side of Chicago, so I don't think either of us can speak with any authority.

3.  I think as long as we have race baiters like Rush Limbaugh, Bill OReilly, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage to counter the Al Sharptons, Louis Farrakhan, and Jeremiah Wright; racism will always be kept in the spotlight. I speak from experience.  I heard the parody of "Barack, the Magic Negro" to the tune Puff the Magic Dragon on the Rush Limbaugh show. Hannity gives the Black Panthers a venue. This goes on, day after day after day. I see two evils in this issue.  You only seem to see one.

4.  The McCain citizen issue was brought up by the Bush campaign in the year 2000. Democrats thought that was stupid back then, and the news media made very little of it this year.  The New York Times had a great lobbyist storyline, but for some reason, they try to headline it as a sex story. That's really hard to prove, if both sides deny it. They suppressed the story In January ,when it would have mattered to Mitt Romney, but were forced to go with it when another news outlet was fixing to beat them to the punch.  The New York Times endorsed John McCain. It's a known fact that John McCain is a media darling, and his press is usually favorable.

5.  I'm sorry, but Fox news is the right arm of the RNC. That's the reason the Democrats do not debate on that network and the reason Barack will not go that network. You perceive a liberal bias, but you fail to see the Fox bias.

6. The GD statement may have some relevance, not denying that, but will it last. Pennsylvania and North Carolina will be a good gauge. In 1992 the GOP tried to use the draft issue against Bill Clinton, but in the end, it was about the economy. I think we'll have a repeat of that. An example of that will be the debates. Barack Obama will denounce and reject the controversial statements of his pastor for 20 years, then go on ,to eloquently give his viewpoints on how to fix the economy, Iraq and the health care issue. I don't think John McCain will be able to count that.

7. Liberals and Democrats did not divide the nation. Hate radio rhetoric, pulled the Hispanic voters into the camp of the Democrats.  Again, I heard the hate rhetoric on illegal immigration whether it was Laura Ingraham, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Reagan or Sean Hannity.  Polls verify this. At the end of this campaign Barack Obama will receive more Democratic votes than any previous candidate. Not a cute trick, because for years 90% of black voters were Democrats and a 40% of Hispanic voters were Democrats.  The majority of women voters are Democrats, because of the right to choose. These are demographics not racial statements.

I am puzzled as to why the right wing did not use Rev. Jeremiah Wright's trip to Tripoli with Farrakhan to visit Muammar Qaddafi, to denounce the reverend for un-American activities. Well it did happen in 1984, before Barack Obama joined Trinity United ,so they could not use it  to try to hurt Mr. Obama chances in the presidential race. So Rev Wright is not the real target.

No reason to be puzzled. back in 1984 the issue was Farrakhan. And yes there was a big stink about him going to Libya. Wright at that time was just some guy going along with him, Not as you pointed out, the pastor to a Presidential Candidate.  This whole Paragraph doesn't mean a thing. Just a lefty trying to obscure the real trouble. That Rev. Wright is  NOW (Not in 1984) a bigoted Pastor who preaches hate from the pulpit to a man who could be our Next President.

I think most there were making the point that Rev. Wright is a bigot. And by the fact of their following his word, most of those (including Obama) who go to that particular church are bigots. How is that the same as saying most black people are bigots? It's not. Unless every black person in America goes to that one church. Again the above statement is a twisted piece of work by the left to create further hate and miscontent based on race.

Calling someone a racist (Wright) is not the same as making a racist statement. If it were, then you just made a racist statement by calling us racist. What Wright is doing is wrong. And because he is black, anyone who speaks out against him is labeled a racist. Why should his color excuse him and make allowances for him to do wrong and create further hate? Blacks can't be racist?  Racism exists still today, I don't deny that. And maybe it will always exists in some small part of the population. But Todays America is NOT the same as 60's America. Racism is at it's lowest it's ever been. Sure there are the NeoNazi Skinheads and the KKK still around, but you also have Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton, and Jerimiah Wright too. You got your Black Panthers too. They are still around. You got your Cripps and Bloods and all your gangs and Gangsta society.

America as a whole has embraced the concept that Racism is WRONG.

SO why when we point out the Don Imus's, the Dog Chapman's when they make racist comments thats good. but when we point out a black man's racist comments, it's we who are the racist?

Fox news is the biggest benefactor, Bill O'Reilly devoted a full hour to it,and I am sure Hannity and Colmes will top that.  The disappointed Chris Wallace called into Fox and Friends to voice his displeasure over the two hour Obama bashing. In full disclosure, some of the left say that was a ploy to get Obama to go on Fox news Sunday(the Obama camp did acknowledge Wallace).Other networks have devoted time to this issue, but not with the passion of Fox.

I'd like you to note that last sentence. Other networks are primarily Liberal controlled. of course they are downplaying the importance of it. They have also softselled every Clinton Scandal as well.  When it comes to McCain... they cant find any dirt so they make stuff up. Like how he isn't a citizen so he can't be pres.(He was born a US Citizen to US Citizen Parents on a US Military base, in Panama) or how he had an affair with a lobbyist (totally unfounded based on unsubstatiated inuendos from a disgruntled ex-staffer) . FOX is the only network on TV where you can get fair and ballanced news. Yes Fox went after Spitzer as well.

The Liberal Media has downplayed the humanitarian stories out of Iraq, the good that is happening, downplaying any success we have had. while giving a lot of airtime to idiots who want to bash our troops and destroy moral like Harry Reid, Jack Murtha, and Nancy Pelosi. I remember when the NY Times published a photo of an insurgent sniper WHILE HE WAS TAKING AIM ON ONE OF OUR SOLDIERS, and called him courageous. Thats your moveon.org drive-by liberal media for you. FOX tries to be balanced and makes an effort to show all sides, not just  the conservative Republican side, but since they are the only network to show that side at all, they have to be unbalanced in their own reporting just to counterbalance all the other liberal gutter trash being pandered as news.

Liberal Democrats take everyone and devide them up into groups by either race, gender, or ethnic group. They then play upon each groups fears and desires and make promises of bigger government to help and protect each group.

Conservative think along more broader terms. rather than deviding everyone up into devise little groups, we just say we are all Americans. One people, One Nation, Under God.

Guess what Mike. Rev Wright is not retired. He is STILL the active pastor for Trinity United.

He was only on a sabatical so that he could join Obama on the campaign. Now that he cannot do that, he is back with the church.

The DNC would not decide that ,as I made it clear the people will e.g. delegates and popular vote.

Superdelagates will not override that or they will have millions of new voters stay home ;rather than be disenfranchised.

Pennsylvania is a working class state ,and the voters will decide if that issue or loss of jobs ,the war,and health care is of more importance,,,,Guilt by association will not linger throughout the campaign...Obama supporters are not  fragile.

I have said that his poll numbers have dropped ,but so has McCain and Clintons...No one has gone unscathed wire to wire.

Bill Richardson will bring the Hispanic vote Hillary had in Texas,New Mexico,California,Arizona,and Nevada. so ,some losses will be regained.....White voters are not the only ones voting in the general, so it will never be a matter of sheep. It will be as always Democrat v Republican...I love our chances.
