John Edwards & Barack Obama went straight for the jugular in going
after Hillary. They attacked the vote on calling the Iranian Revolutionary Council a terrorist organization. Saying it will give this president the excuse he needs to
go to war with Iran.

Hillary’s inconsistent answers were exposed on social security and at the end
of the debate she agreed with New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer's controversial plan to give driver's licenses to illegal immigrants but then a minute later started backtracking.
Now Bill Clinton was a master at being evasive but her facial expressions and
demeanor showed she is no Bill Clinton. Will this debate change the numbers?
I don’t know.

I think what was really exposed last night was status quo positions of the front runner.
How can my party complain about the secrecy in the Bush Administration
if Hillary does not turn over all her documents? I understand it gives the other
candidates an unfair advantage, because she will be the only candidate required to
do this. But if this lack of transparency is going to stop, someone has to take
the lead. The other is lobbyist money; Hillary has out raised all the candidates of
both parties in lobbyist money from Wall Street, defense department, and insurance
and drug companies. Some might see it as success but really it business as usual.
Somehow we must have a leader to take us to public financing because these lobbyist
have too much influence.

I am getting suspicious as to why the Bush Administration is getting their way on the
latest NSA spying bill. Did the telecommunication lobbyist have something to do
with it? I don’t know.

This may sound like a slam on Hillary but it really isn’t, it just exposes some of her
weakness in a primary. Great leaders learn form mistakes and they don’t
usually repeat them. Constructive criticism will only make a person stronger.

Mike - > Politcs Plus -> Boy,was I wrong.
Boy,was I wrong.

It was the folksy Mike Huckabee calm demeanor that pointed out that the Reverend Jeremiah Wright represented radical extremist views last night on MSNBC’s  The Verdict. When Jeremiah Wright implied that this issue was against the black churches, I knew then Jeremiah Wright did not represent the 65,000 black churches.  The Washington press club Q&A revealed a lot about Jeremiah Wright. This man has a large ego and his recent appearances, are a form of payback, because Barack Obama denounced his rhetoric in public. The Rev.Wright builds that church from a small group of 87 to more than 8000 members, and now a member of that flock did not heed his message and said so publicly. The Reverend Jeremiah Wright built the church, but Barack Obama put it on the map.

Jeremiah Wright said, Louis Farrakhan was a great man. This is a man that said, Hitler was a great man, and together with the Reverend Wright met with the renowned terrorist Omar Qaddafi of Libya. I  do not like it when civilians meet with our enemies, without the current administrations approval. The Reverend could have given Louis Farrakhan credit for the Million Man March and left it at that.

This puts a new light on the subject about Barack Obama relationship with his pastor, but it keeps it out in the limelight without an easy solution.  Sure pundits will tell you that he needs to just completely disassociate with the Reverend Wright and his church, but they do not have to suffer the repercussions that this action might cause.I can see where some might say why didn't Barack Obama see through this, because observation and good judgement are qualities we want in a president.

I still think  Reverend Jeremiah Wright, has the right to the limelight to sell himself and his books, but I now see him; in the same light as I do right wing extremist like Ann Coulter and others I denounce. It took me longer than most to get to this point.

As always ragman pegged Jeremiah Wright.

Maryann, you were right about Jeremiah Wright, all along and your insight is way better than mine… It was funny, because I came to my decision after Jeremiah Wright’s Washington press club statements…. I later learned Barack Obama said the very same thing. I also gave Jeremiah Wright, the benefit of the doubt…. thanks for the kind words (blush)

Hello Mike,

Nice analyzation, Mike. When I read this earlier, for some reason I thought it belonged to the editor, Chris Cobler. and I was thinking what an honest guy! Well, YOU"RE the honest guy!

Yes, this is still a problem. Judgement issues will be a problem. And it's kind of like he's damned if he condemns the guy, or he's damned if he doesn't

You state: "When Jeremiah Wright implied that this issue was against the black churches, I knew then Jeremiah Wright did not represent the 65,000 black churches."   I agree, and you stated it well. To me, that was a serious inaccuracy for Wright to state.

Well, the race goes on.

I believe Wright is also jealous of Obama's fame and success.  So, now he is running around trying to get in the lime light.  It is a shame and a pity.  It is like a envious parent or sibling.

Hey Mike, look at the credentials of Jerimiah's staff  http://www.tucc.org/pastora... -see Otis and Ramah. This church spent decades developing  great leaders for business and govenment in Chicao and nationally. The staff is black ivy league except for two. (1) Otis, the recent heir appearent has a compromise background that would appeal to an uneducated rank and file. In PC terms this is the "democratization" of Trinity UCC Chicago. And (2) Ramah Wright has NO CREDENTIALS listed. Obiously a few years ago Jeremiah turned away from the path of building a citadel of enlighted leaders and the church indulged him.  What were the movers and shakers with decades invested in progressive Black Chicago to do? Weather the storm (Paul to Rome) and keep on keeping on (Gal 6:9).  So few in Victoria can use this info, I think I'll tweek it and post it on a national blog. Here is of interest to our kind in Victoria: the real measure of sainthood for Obama is his avoiding mentioning Hillary's goto prayer warrior Rev. Doug Coe. God give Obama strength to stay above the fray and not say "obliterate". Oh - too late. He said it when she said it.
