Limited mobility has Rusty restricted to just a few tasks on this job site. His main assignment activity has come to a screechin' halt and nobody can tell him when it will resume. One answer is "sometime next year". Kinda makes one a little "goosey", ya know?

However, one engineer who is fanny deep in paper work is asking his boss about transfering Rusty to his department.

It looks like grandpa is going to have to settle for desk work after all those years "in the field." But, income is income so we'll take what we can get. Maybe the Excelon project will start in time for some of us old guys to pick up a crumb or two.

A young person just starting a career would do well to find a niche in quality control or quality assurance for the scads of nuclear construction scheduled for the next several years. Certified Welding Inspectors (CWIs) will really be in great demand. They are now.

Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes for my sister and our family. There were days when the Hospice folks said, "No visitors, let 'er rest." We still had a few times to tell jokes, remember the "good ol' days", and saying what needed saying. She just sort of drifted off.....

What is your opinion about this?  One relative was chapped because she was told that her s-i-l and the s-i-l's friends weren't invited to the family dinner to follow the funeral. "I'd be embarrassed if she found out she's not invited." I doubt she EVER SAW my sister.

RUSTY'S online at his 61 yo sister's apt. writing this. Two weeks ago she was told, "Actually, with acute leukemia we have no way to treat it. We admire your decision to avoid all the chemo and hospital time, some people actually live longer than those who are afraid to die. It's refreshing to find someone who believes in a better afterlife.
Just go home and call Hospice and good luck."
