Is it normal for nearly seven year old kids to just totally ignore what you tell them? What do YOU do when they just turn and walk away like you'd never said a word? Or,
they continue doing something after being told to quit. How does it affect you when you hear, "Oh, alright!!" after repeated instructions to do something?

Is grandpa being unreasonable to expect obedience in  these situations? Since his return from his job away from home grandpa is skating on thin ice partly because he can't find where his l'm in  jolly good mood pills were packed..

On the morning of 0/11/2001 we were working on an addition to a SPRINT fiber optics relay facility (Point of Presence) in a wheat field near Belfield, ND. Via telephone we were instructed, "Send everybody home until further notice and secure the site. Terrorists have attacked in  New York City and at the Pentagon. We don't know where they'll hit next"
"Surely our little project in this wheat field way out here in North Dakota wouldn't be a target."
"Anything to do with communications could be a logical target, regardless of how remote."

Will you ever forget where you were and what you were doing when you heard the news of the twin towers being attacked? What were your thoughts?  Was your work place possibly  a target?
The same place, activity and thoughts questions could be asked about the day John  F. Kennedy was shot (if you're old enough to remember).

BOATU.S. ANGLER OFFERS FISHING TOURNAMENT SPONSORSHIPS

ALEXANDRIA, VA, June 23, 2008 -- BoatU.S. Angler, which offers services, discounts, safety programs and fishing information, is now a sponsor in more than 350 freshwater fishing tournaments across the country - and is looking to support more. But time may be running out for tournament directors to get in on the BoatU.S. Angler tournament sponsorship program.

"We are interested in supporting freshwater tournaments, no matter if it's bass, trout, walleye, crappie or catfish," said BoatU.S. Angler Director Mike Pellerin. "However, we only have a limited number remaining and are offering them first-come, first-served."

"As a sponsor, we're offering annual BoatU.S. Angler memberships that come with 'unlimited' on-the-water towing (freshwater) as well as a roadside assistance plan that unlike other auto clubs, covers both the boat trailer and tow vehicle," added Pellerin. Also included in BoatU.S. Angler membership is a subscription to the new
BoatU.S. ANGLER Magazine as well as discounts on fuel, repairs and ramp rebates at BoatU.S. Cooperating Marinas, shopping discounts at West Marine stores and more.

Each membership package is worth $63, a nice addition to a tournament's list of prizes. "While we'd prefer to have our BoatU.S. Angler membership prizes go to the angler who catches the biggest fish, we know that tournament needs differ and we'll do whatever makes the most sense," said Pellerin.

In addition, participating tournaments will be listed on the Tournament and Event Locator at http://www.BoatUSAngler.com...

Tournament directors may apply for BoatU.S. Angler sponsorship consideration by emailing Penny Leitch at PLeitch@BoatUS.com

"Once a tournament has been approved, we'll send a complete package with everything inside, including promotional items and the complimentary BoatU.S. Angler membership certificate that's very simple for the winner to redeem," said Pellerin. "Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for tournament directors."

BoatU.S. Angler is part of Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatU.S.), the nation's largest organization of recreational boat owners with over 650,000 members.

Buchanan to Obama     PLEASE SEND THIS AROUND
by Patrick J. Buchanan

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America.?

Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.

This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First,
America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christ ian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of fre edom and prosperity blacks have ever known.

Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the '60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.

Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks -- with affirmative action, contract set-asides and q uotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants.

Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.

We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude??

Barack talks about new 'lad d ers of opportunity' for blacks.

Let him go to Altoona?and Johnstown, and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for 'deserving' white kids.?

Is white America really responsible f or the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America? Is it really white America's fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?

Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?

Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena. And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.

Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago.

Be a better friend, .

        & nbsp;    RETRACTION
THANKS TO "RAGMAN'S" comments that all the following statements were lies and they should've been verified before being posted here, checking SNOPES.COM revealed RAGMAN was correct. It is never Rusty's intent to present untruths to his readers so please forgive him for this mistake.

Below are a few lines from Obama's books; In his words!

From Dreams of My Father: 'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'

From Dreams of My Father : 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'

From Dreams of My Father: 'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'

From Dreams of My Father:  'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'

From Dreams of My Father: 'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.'

#*#**#*#*#*#*#*#*##*#*#*
And FINALLY the Most Damming one of ALL of them!!!
  From Audacity of Hope:
'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'

GARON sent this   A MARINE'S IDEA OF CHANGE
The buzz word of this political campaign season is 'CHANGE'.

Candidates toss it around without really saying what they want to change to.

There's an old sea-story in the Marine Corps about a lieutenant who inspected his Marines in the field, and afterward told the 'Gunny' that the men smelled bad. The lieutenant suggested the solution might be they should change their underwear.

The Gunny responded, 'Aye, aye, sir, I'll see to it immediately!'

He then went straight into the squad tent and announced, 'The lieutenant thinks you guys smell bad, and wants you to change your underwear.  Smith, you change with Jones, McCarthy, you change with Witkowskie, and Brown, you change with Schultz. Get to it!'

The moral:  A candidate may promise change in
Washington, but don't count on things smelling any better.

Rusty will probably catch all kinds of flack for coming across as  being uncaring, uncompasionate and many other vile things for posting the following regarding the boy accidently shot in the back by his grandpa. My intention is to get people to THINK about safe gun handling.

Fri  Jun 13, 2008 19:47:57 CDT
"My prayers and sympathy go out to everyone affected by this heartrending story. Please don't take this as an attack on the grandpa but a sincere attempt to prevent other families from suffering this same grief. In hunter safety classes we call this a "teachable moment". One of the cardinal rules of firearm safety is to maintain muzzle control at all times, no matter what happens."
