PEbner - > The world of golf -> Where is everyone
Where is everyone

I was asked this week if the Cowboys kept ewveryone off the course on Sunday and I would have to say it's a 99.9 percent chance that most golfers on Sunday afternoon were probably glued to the set watching the Cowboys go down to the wire with the Detroit Lions.

I decided to go out and take a hack at it myself at halftime and found the course at Yoakum almost empty. I have also talked to folks at a couple of other courses and found that to be true at those courses as well.

I think a lot of it was the Cowboys, but you also have to remember what time of year it is. A lot of folks are alos spending more time with their families now after a five-day work week especially here at Christmas gedtting things ready for the holidays.

Even though it is probably tough to let these great golfing days go by it's a decision one has to make.

So, what are your thoughts on why the golf courses may have been for the most part empty on Sunday?

From all the positive feedback this year from the first one, I feel the odds of another city championship this coming year are very good.

I haven't check yet with any of the clubs on the date they are shooting for but I believe it will become a reality. Of course there could be some minor adjustments here and there to help make it better, but I feel all three courses will benefit once again.

Paul,

I live at Riverside in Victoria for most of the weekend. Who are the Cowboys? LOL!

While I've got you here, what are the odds of another City Championship taking place in 2008?
