Choi takes the lead
K.J. Choi birdied the final hole to slip out of a four-way tie and grab the first-round lead at th ePGA Tour's Sony Open. Choi was in at 6-under 64, a shot ahead of Jimmy Walker, Heath Slocum and Steve Marino. Eight players are another shot back at 4 under and include Rory Sabbatini, Chad campbell, Steve Lowery, James Driscoll, Kenneth Ferrie, Mitsuhiro Tateyama, J.P. Hayes and last week's winner Daniel Chopra. Former two-time Victoria Open winner Ron Whittaker opened with a 73. As for my PGA Tour fantasy team it was another slow start except for Taylor Vaughn who finished at 3 under. Jim Furyk is at 2 under, Charles Howell III at 1 under, Pat Perez and Stephen Ames at even par and Jonathan Byrd is one over. Hopefully they will get going in Friday's round and all make a run toward the top of the leaderboard. 2 comments from 2 users

I'm not only interested in golf I enjoy reading any updates or news flashes. I will start visiting this site more often now that I know there is information worth reading. What's that beautiful aroma in the air? Aaaah, it's the smell of April approaching alerting us that The Masters will soon be here. My entire year revolves around this single golf tournament. I can't wait. I hear ESPN will be providing coverage this year and that should only give us more viewing time that we are already getting. Check your calendars. Make sure you all have vacation scheduled and family advised that April 10 thru April 13 are already reserved for something far more important. posted by
