Showing respect.
I STAND CORRECTED! Apparently this photo was taken during the National Antthem and NOT during thr Pledge of Allegiance.
I still don't think he would be a good choice for president based on his stance on abortion, homosexual marriage, immediate withdrawal from Iraq, etc., etc. - well, he is a liberal Democrat after all.

I am not sure what article that was because you didnt site it, but from what I understand as this was reported a few weeks ago by two television networks, this was taken during the National Anthem being played, not the Pledge, and this was also taken months ago, it is not really recent news, only something that has come to light by spin doctors, and with good reason, there is a lot of mudslinging at this point. I'm not saying I'm for him or against him, just that some news sources say different, and if that's the case, we really should investigate the who what when why and where of the matter . I have been to many a football game where some do not even take their hats off, much less put their hand over their hearts while the anthem is played, so if we go after him, we should go after everybody. But I can see where your stance as a vet would put you. Food for thought at any rate. posted by

We are in some very tuff times as Americans and it is very sad to see what we have become! He should be thrown out of the running for doing something like that, how un-American!
Well we just have to sit back and see what happens! posted by

Thanks for calling this to our attention, Shurelee. What a presidential race it's going to be. I might have to just throw my vote away, but I don't see much to vote for yet. Mitt Romney, maybe, and I didn't think I'd ever say this, but Ron Paul even looks good right now.
