Very Simple.

Any Complex North of Mockingbird Lane for the most part (there are exceptions) are OK

Any Complex South of said street... steer clear of. (there are some exceptions to that as well

He really is, you know. But an amusing mouth, none the less.

The Whittington is nice, too. But they are a bit paranoid about deposits. It's $500 for each pet, and only under 25 lbs. It's a gated community, so there's a little more security. It's right across the street from the Landing. But I agree the Landing would be better if you have or want to start a family.

Welcome! Montana Mike's has the best 16 oz Ribeye in town and The Family Table on 59S by the bridge has the best lunch. I'm the loudest mouth in Victoria! Ask anyone!

VISDmom, you mentioned the Landing.  That would be a good location if you have kids because I understand a new elementary school is going up down the street at the corner of Ball Airport and Mallette.

I lived in The Villas for two years, my husband for three- it's a really nice complex and close to walmart, the mall, many eating places and it's also a very quiet complex. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for apartments. They are very reasonably priced as well.

Welcome to Victoria. We own a house rather than rent so I can't personally help you much there. However, I'm sure many others can share apartment experiences.

We moved here almost a year ago and have found Victoria to be a warm and welcoming place. Hope you have a similar experience. We're glad to see you already have joined our online community.

Dear Moving - My family lived in The Landing Apartments on the north side of town for about six months several years ago.  It was very nice and priced well.  It is a very open and spreadout complex, with a duck pond running down the middle of it.  There is a trail the whole way around the pond.  The apartments are actually two story townhome units and come equipped with stacking washers/dryers and a one car garage.  The apartments are not huge, but we are a family of four and it was perfectly adequate.  Our boys shared a bedroom and there was plenty of room.  We currently own a house on the north side of town, which is the side I prefer.  There are also some good, decent house rental properties here in town that are comparable to some apartment prices, so you might want to check that out, as well.

Victoria is not a bad place to live.  If you are coming from a metropolitan area (which we did) it might seem a bit slow; however, we do have a decent mall and more diverse eating establishments are coming in every day, as well as more national chain stores.  Everyone knows everyone else around here, which took some getting used to!

Welcome to Victoria!
