Why Do Republicans Hate ????
Huckabee wanted to isolate AIDS patients By ANDREW DeMILLO, Associated Press Writer 58 minutes ago LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Mike Huckabee once advocated isolating AIDS patients from the general public, opposed increased federal funding in the search for a cure and said homosexuality could "pose a dangerous public health risk." ADVERTISEMENT As a candidate for a U.S. Senate seat in 1992, Huckabee answered 229 questions submitted to him by The Associated Press. Besides a quarantine, Huckabee suggested that Hollywood celebrities fund AIDS research from their own pockets, rather than federal health agencies. "If the federal government is truly serious about doing something with the AIDS virus, we need to take steps that would isolate the carriers of this plague," Huckabee wrote. "It is difficult to understand the public policy towards AIDS. It is the first time in the history of civilization in which the carriers of a genuine plague have not been isolated from the general population, and in which this deadly disease for which there is no cure is being treated as a civil rights issue instead of the true health crisis it represents."

THEMIS - > Why Do Republicans Hate ???? -> Suicide top Ten killer
Suicide top Ten killer

With a recent slue of suicides the question is how can a city with so many churches and ministers, many of whom are qualified to provide counseling , as well as a community services agency's who do counseling SO MANY SLIP BY ? When I visit town I see churches with thousands of square feet and a phone book full of M.Div's and M.ED and Ralpha credentials at churches -- why so little counseling going on ... FOR FREE to those who need it ? With so very few mentally ill walking the streets why these few are not held to the bosoms of the many "Christians " in the Town ?

ARGUMENT FOR BLOG :

A] IF YOU ARE GAY AN DECIDE A CAT IS NOT ENOUGH IS IT BETTER TO BE WHO YOU ARE OR DIE ?

B] IF YOU ARE IN A MISERABLE MARRIAGE IS IT BETTER TO DIVORCE OR TO DIE by suicide  ?

An Autopsy can have only a few outcomes homicide, suicide , or natural. Being angry with me will not change the fact that a young graduate full of hope died around Christmas , or an other young person jumped of a bridge. Suicide speaks not only to the individuals personnel pain but their perception of how their community will deal with them when they reach out for help. Will they be judged ? Will they be accepted for who and what they are ? Or persecuted ? Will they be told that their lack of hope is really a lack of faith and the pain they are experiencing is self inflicted ? Answer these questions ? Would you rather have these people in your mist and have to help them or or you quietly thankful they choose the path they did so not to be bothered by their needs?

It is appalling that you, THEMIS, can say that Dr. Dale Pigott died at his own hand. You are one cruel  freak.  Unless you were there, how can you make this assumption? And now your unsubstantiated statement is going to make his boys and wife feel better? You are undoubtedly one cruel son of a  .........  gun!

So Themis is it your assumption that Dr. Pigott killed himself also?  You mentioned in your comment it was by his own hand....then I put 2 + 2 together with the appearance of this blog.  You seem to know quite a bit about this town for being a visitor.

Themis,

These churches are just waiting to help. But not intrude.

The sad fact is the most depressed people are alone in a crowd, and somehow have lost the drive, self esteem, or whatever it is to allow them to reach out for help. You are not alone in this world. There are hundreds of thousands who have lived through what you are right now. Simply lose your foolish pride and say "can you help me?"

The out poaring of love will knock you to your knees. And pray.

Peace
