"What happens to the show if Meredith and McDreamy actually live happily ever after? Where's the soap opera in that?" Seriously? It took forever for them to get back together - don't jinx it! And it wouldn't be Grey's Anatomy if there wasn't SOME drama. You want soap opera? Did you not see how McDreamy just LEFT and the show faded to black? You don't think that next season will start with him running back to Meredith unscathed? No. Le sigh... it WILL be a long summer. I have added a couple of videos for those of you who can't get enough of that lovin' feelin'... I took a break from “everything” tonight to enjoy my one true indulgence: Grey’s Anatomy.
Anyone who used to read my old blogs knows that I am very McAddicted to Grey’s and I have a serious lust ragin’ for Patrick Dempsey. I lusted over Patrick when it wasn’t cool to lust over him.
Can’t Buy Me Love?
I watched it so many times that I could re-enact every single scene…
Anyway…
I used my trusty DVR and recorded tonight’s two hour finale so I could watch it in the peace and quiet that exists after I lock my kid in their closets. I mean, put them to bed.
For anyone who hasn’t seen it, I won’t spoil it, but I will say: HOLY HOTNESS BATMAN.
There are some things said at a certain point by Patrick that would make any conservative dance on the wild side. Whew…
I cannot WAIT for next season and I already have been sweeping the message boards, scooping up all of the spoiler gossip I could soak up.
Le sigh…
I could watch the last 7 minutes of the finale more times than my son has seen Spiderman. If fact, if you missed the finale, or you just want to see it 463 times - go to ABC.com. They have full episodes available (in HD too).
Until next time my fellow Mer/Der Shippers, don’t forget to take some time out to be a little less serious…
And no – I have not forgotten about the Twizzlers.
They are extraordinary, too...

(Since the Advocate didn't see this as a viable story, I decided to post it myself. I guess there is too much excitement over the new trash cans and sketching to fit this into the paper. Woman believes delegates at a March 29 county convention were seated improperly

CORPUS CHRISTI — A Corpus Christi woman has asked the Texas Supreme Court to make the Nueces County Republican Party chairman turn over the minutes from local precinct conventions that she believes will prove delegates at a March 29 county convention were seated improperly.
Local party chairman Mike Bertuzzi said Monday he is confident no rules were broken.
Vanessa Cahill, 30, filed a petition with the Texas Supreme Court on Friday asking for a writ of mandamus that would compel Bertuzzi to turn over the minutes, which she believes are public record.
Cahill said Bertuzzi seated delegates at the March 29 county convention even though they weren’t elected at precinct conventions March 4. She said that violates party rules and state law, and it prevented her from being elected to a delegate position at the state convention.
“I am seeking copies of the precinct minutes to compare them to the seated delegates at the county convention,” Cahill said Monday.
Bertuzzi disputes Cahill’s assertion that the minutes are public record, saying the Republican Party is not a governmental body and therefore is not subject to open records laws.
According to the state election code, the list of delegates from precinct conventions is not a public record, said Secretary of State’s spokesman Scott Haywood.
Precinct conventions serve to elect delegates to county conventions, according to the Texas Election Code. But the choice of delegates by political parties is governed by individual party rules, Haywood said.
Texas Republican Party executive director Eric Opiela said that according to party rules, a delegate to the county convention does not have to attend the precinct convention.
“Our attorneys are looking at all of the claims made in Cahill’s petition and we will make an appropriate response if necessary,” Opiela said of the 60-page petition. “But a precinct convention can nominate delegates from their precinct regardless of whether they are present at the convention.”
The Nueces County Republican Party Credentials Committee cleared Bertuzzi of wrongdoing.
Cahill is the ad hoc leader of about 40 people who left the county convention in March over what they called rules violations and held a rump convention.
A rump convention is a separate meeting conducted by a group that feels it has been disenfranchised. Local participants formed their own committees and elected their own delegates, which they have asked the state party to recognize at the state convention next month.
Cahill, a delegate from Precinct 65, previously had filed a challenge still under review by the state party charging that Bertuzzi had not released precinct convention minutes and committee members or meeting times to her in violation of party rules.
I couldn't have said it better, so I am posting a letter that was written by a true Republican grassroots activist and state delegate from Dallas. I am also a state delegate to the Texas Republican Convention this June in Houston and the article below adequately summarizes the opinions of many delegates attending this year's convention. Texas is the Reddest State in the United States of America. The percentage of voters who not only vote Republican, but self-identify as Republican is the highest in Texas. We take pride in the fact that Family Values, Economic Freedom, and Religious Freedom reign supreme in our State. The Republican Party of Texas Platform is perhaps one of the finest declarations of intent and values ever created. The men and women who contributed to this document poured their hearts and beliefs into this directive to Republican Officials. Individuals who identify themselves as the Grassroots Republicans composed the majority of the contributors to the Platform. Unfortunately, in recent years, the organization that represents the Grassroots, the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) has seen their hands tied by the influence of the Republican Party of Texas (RPT) Chair. The RPT Chair walks into the SREC with a list of "suggestions" and expects them to become a part of the SREC's directives. The Business Tax and the TTC have flourished under a Republican-controlled state government, under the direction of the subordinate SREC and the highly influential Republican Party of Texas. This disregard for the Platform, the Constitution, and the Grassroots can no longer continue. The Grassroots built the strength of this Grand Ol' Party of Texas and should regain its influence. We know what the average voter values. We don't all concentrate on the same priorities: some want an end to pork barrel spending; some concentrate on changing our foreign policy; some desire an end to various federal programs; some appreciate sound money; some demand an end to illegal immigration; some wish to eliminate abortion; some despise the notion of foreign-owned tollroads obtained through eminent domain; some despise the socialist directives of the minimum wage, welfare, socialized healthcare, and all other government intrusions that lead to higher taxes and more government control. Whatever our priorities, Texas Republicans are the most Conservative voters in the country, but our values are rarely reflected by the actions of our elected officials because the Grassroots has little say in the Establishment-controlled RPT. We're tired of complaining to deaf ears. We're tired of having to make excuses to independents. We're tired of losing elections. We're tired of arguing at our local Republican Clubs for the values and beliefs that are already articulated in the RPT Platform. We've told them what we want, but, somehow, our elected officials haven't heard us. Join the Goldwater Conservatives, Reagan Republicans, Robertson Crowd, Ron Paul Republicans, and, well, real Conservatives at the State Convention by voting for a Permanent Convention Chair who will ensure a Fair Convention, and, more importantly, by voting for an RPT Chair who will ensure the kind of meaningful change that will ensure that the Grassroots Republicans have the influence that they rightly deserve. Make this State Convention meaningful and not just about the social networking. We owe the 10^th largest economy in the world our full attention. You owe it to your neighbors to do everything that you can to ensure that the integrity that the Republicans purport to value returns to the Republican Party. Sincerely, Jarrod Atkinson Group asks for sanctions - exclusion from state convention
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX. - A group of Republican delegates to the Nueces County Republican Convention held March 4, 2008 have announced that they have filed formal complaints with the Texas State Republican Organization charging Nueces County Republican Chairman Mike Bertuzzi, Credentials Committee Chairman Arden Kendall Peterson, and other local party officials with violations of the Texas Election Code and state party rules.
The dissident group charges in complaints filed in Austin with party officials that State law and party rules require that delegates be elected. Non-elected delegates, including the Chairman of the Credentials Committee himself, were illegally placed in numerous precinct delegations at the county convention. They further claim that they were refused access to records of precinct convention proceedings that would have disclosed the names of legally elected delegates--also in violation of the election code which states that these records are public information.
When protesting delegates were ejected, the 40 member group left the county convention presided over by Mr. Bertuzzi and held a rump convention at which they elected delegates to the State GOP Convention to be held in June. They are asking that Chairman Bertuzzi and Peterson be sanctioned for violations of the Election Code and that only those delegates elected at the rump convention be seated at the state convention.
Group spokesperson, Kay Fischer, said, " Mike Bertuzzi takes the position that party officials can appoint anyone of their choosing and thus they have destroyed the validity of their convention by 'stuffing' it with un-elected voting persons".
A presentation of events at the Nueces County Convention has been placed on the Internet and can be seen by members of the public by typing "Nueces County Republican Convention" into the search feature at youtube.com
