Crossroads Dining
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that we've launched a new site called CrossroadsDining.com.

Our hope is to have this site be the best local resource for dining in the crossroads region. The site is full of restaurant and recipe listings, and includes a commenting and rating system for both.

Take a look see and let us know what you think...

The website looks good.  I think the comments will tell a big story about the service offered in this region.  We've got some pretty nice restaurants, and some of them even have good food, but the service is usually horrible.  From what I've experienced, the wait staff is made up of part time college students, or part timers needing to supplement their full time jobs.  They don't care about the customers at all.  We lost Applebee's in Victoria because of the service, not because of the food.  Each time I think it's safe to go back in the water....

A couple of weeks ago I went to Montana Mike's with my parents.  A young waitress, who was very pregnant, sauntered over to our table.  I ordered for myself and my mother.  We wanted the same thing and I told the waitress that.  One for me and one for mom.  We got one order, and the waitress said she thought I meant we would share it.  Okay, so she didn't understand me.  But if she really thought we were going to share it, she should have had an extra plate with her.  Nope.  So we had to wait for the second order to be prepared.  Probably won't go back there.  The other thing she did was this -- I paid in cash and my change was $7.02.  She gave me back $7.00.  What happened to my 2 cents?  I let her keep it as her tip.  That's another thing I've noticed in local restaurants lately, they are rounding out the bill, or giving back the wrong change.  I think I'll eat at home.

Hopefully your website will come to the attention of these restaurant managers and they'll do some revamping or at least training!
