I was wondering when I read all the posts about Dr. Jaynes slogan "He will deliver for US?.....who Keeling will support?  Will she really support ALL kids?  I don't think so.  I read her blog and her qualifications and all the programs that are being implemented NOW.....what was implemented from 2005 to 2008?   Did the students not count then.??? Did the bond take up all of the time...was she preparing for the future and neglecting the present.

Did it take Tami three years to realize that VISD's discipline routines were not effective?  Did Tami really realize this or is she just along for the ride taking credit for others hard work? 

Since the discipline system is "broken" then Ms. Keeling supported expelling students under a discipline system that was "broken".  She was a part of sending students to Mitchell under a broken system.? Why didn't she  use her school board  training, and the information she learned from speaking to the senate committee on discipline to look out for my child when he was being sent to Mitchell under this broken system.  Why did she not intervene when I knew the teacher was wrong and I pleaded my case...where was she then / Why has it taken Tami three years to make recommendations to improve the discipline policies ? Did Tami not think it important for teachers and administrators to work together from 2005 to 2008. Do you know how many kids fell through the cracks while you allowed this broken system to continue.  Please don't tell me that Ms. Keeling cannot take  total credit for this albatross, because she is certainly taking credit for the good things happening in the district...aka... multiple pathways, the new discipline model, the bond and the hiring of the superintendent.  What about Mr. Maples...is that one of her greatest accomplishments.  Please...we are not stupid.

Ms. Keeling, isjust spouting off any rhetoric that sounds good to win this election. If she is re-elected,  after her three year term in 2011, I will sit back and try to think about one accomplishment that was made by Tami, and I probably won't be able to name one.  I can, however name a lot of mistakes that were made, a lot of students who dropped out of school, a lot of students who were expelled, who flunked out, who were sent to Mitchell and the list goes on.  You can take credit for hiring the superintendent and for passing the bond, but will you also take credit for all the negative?  Every year the number of students enrolled dwindle from 9th to 12trh grade.  This has been happening for years and years.  Did you not think to put in your "multiple pathways" in 2006 when you were already on the board for one year.   How can you take credit for multiple pathways??? and use it as a point in your campaign.  That is really unethical.

This community needs to wake up and learn the role of a board member.  You are taking credit for programs and initiatives that you had no part in implementing...How ethical is that?  The only qualification that you have over Dr. Jaynes is 3 years of experience on the board which has given you the terminology to be able to speak "educationese" very well.  I hear a lot of talk and the only actions that I see from you is taking credit from others hard work.  Shame on you!!!  If you can be so bold as to take credit for others efforts that are positive, please don't forget to take the credit for the negative. 

And please all you supporters of keeling, don't write me about  how it takes 7 members on the board to make a decision.  I already know that.  I also know that she cannot pick and chose the activities/programs that she wants to associate herself with...the district is in shambles, the TAKS scores have decreased, attendance has decreased and she is an integral part of that.  She was on the board when the bond was passed and when Mr. Moore was hired and she was an integral part of that as well.  Tell it all and tell the truth!!!!!! 

Just an FYI on the drop-out issue and changing the definition of drop-out.  This was implemented 2 years ago, this is not the first year for the definition of "drop-out " to be changed. More empty rhetoric.....but I don't buy it.

If Victoria wants to to see the board go in a different direction, then Vote Dr. Jaynes. Don't listen to the lies about the Jaynes family.  Read the posts please.  Most of the posts are about his family, friends, etc..not about the Dr. Jaynes.
