What size are you?
Are you sure; how can you tell?
It all depends on where you shop. I remember in my mid 20s before I had kids I was a size 5. One day I went to a fancy mall shop and tried on a dress I needed for a formal occasion. It was a size ZERO. I bought it! Hek, what young woman wouldnt want to say she wore a size zero?
Well three kids later I found myself buying size 14. Yikes! At 5 foot 6, 135 pounds 14 seemed right to me and I never questioned it.
My friends used to always say, there is no way you are a 14.
Well last year I suddenly lost another 5 pounds and was thrilled to fit into 12s.
This weekend I finally realized I am NOT a 12 but an 8 (or am I).
You see, my husband and my kids come first in my life so I generally buy my clothes from Wal-Mart and Target. But, this weekend I was given a bunch of nice clothes from my mother in a size 8. And
.(drum roll please) they FIT!
I am amazed at how when you buy clothes as size goes down, the price goes up.
So, the moral of this story is if you want to have a smaller tag size on the neck of your shirts, be prepared to pay more for the tag that dangles from the sleeve.
But my question is still, what size am I really?
Until next time,
JB
