Nope don't keep up with who gets dog tickets either but I do know that they were ticketed before over a year ago because I called on them for having a bony dog chained to a tree that couldn't reach his food or water nor did he have any shelter...Ha

Sure sucks that I have to pay a house note when there are some others that live around me for free and take advantage of it and can afford to feed strays and etc..Get the dang things neutered...LOL

It's obvious that you are only here to PICK....if calling me FOS and LAZY makes you feel better then so be it...I know it felt great for me to say it...

Calm down? But there's stray dogs on your street! You've called a DOZEN TIMES and they have NEVER come out. The lady supposedly on call told you in so many words you were SCREWED! It took FOUR HOURS for that dead dog to be picked! THIS WILL NOT STAND!

Don't work for Victoria Animal Control and am not a woman but I would love to have an objective  discussion of Victoria Animal Control funding if factual analysis won't disturb your apparently gender confused world view. What is the annual funding for Victoria Animal Control? How many Animal Control Officers? Number in the population served? Number of animals handled annually? Shelter size and annual cost?. If you believe Animal Control is adequately funded please expalin how you reached this informed opinion.

 The AC sure paid enough attention after I blogged this to pick up the dogs after all the phone calls of nothing...Got the attention I needed and deserved ha...Jealous are you...Caught your attention too...

LOL! The Animal Control folks had given the people tickets for the dogs before! HA!HA! You went on line and posted statements and accusations about Animal Control you knew to be false! ROTFALMAO! When confronted with your disregard for the facts you dismiss it as light humor! LOL! You told falsehoods and posted photos of stray dogs on line. What a tremendous accomplishment for you! :D!

Yes,the dogs are gone,Finally...I'm sure the eighth Pup will be having babies soon,Again...and I will not educate anyone on how to take care of a pet.If that's the case then they don't need No pets...

Now I can walk my leashed and neutered pet down the road without some ankle biting dogs messing with us...

From the looks of this picture, you are standing across the street and taking pictures of a neighbors house. I for one would be contacting a lawyer if you posted pictures of my house on line. It doesn't seem that any of these dogs are bothering you...Were you in fear of your life, all these little ankle bitters. And as LMJones stated, where were you when 7 of the dogs were picked up? I guess we can blame you when they all get put to sleep. Why don't you spend your time educating your neighbors about spay/neutering and keeping the dogs restrained instead of bashing animal control.  Animal Control has a FREE spay/neuter program going on right now. If some of these dog owners would take advantage of it, we would have less animals reproducing, getting off chains, and out of yards looking to breed.

As for the dead dog you are speaking off...I watched Animal Control pick it up on Friday morning, around 10ish at the latest, seeing as the open  at 8, that is a far cry from 4 hours.

About ten minutes later I get a call from a female worker whom is SUPPOSED to be on "CALL".Basically she told me I was SCREWED but in so many different words.She let me know that even though she is on call that they do not come out unless there is an emergency...Blah...Blah...Blah.......

"so many different words"?......Hmmmm......what kind of words? Words like, "Our funding does not permit staffing that provide round the clock service." Words like that maybe? In my experience this smells like a taxpayer that has discovered that "low bid" funding produces "low bid service" levels and then enraged, attacks low paid overworked government workers in a public place as "lazy" after giving an incomplete, and likely slanted account of the situation. But hey....call a plumber or an appliance repair technician at 7:15 am and demand a 5 minutes response time. Let me know how that works out for you. I have no doubt you will eventually find a service company that will meet your request but let me know how much the check is you have to write. Compare what is spent on Animal Control.

4 hours to pick up a dead dog? Maybe they were tending to the LIVE DOGS first? Maybe they have to prioritize their calls? Once again, call the sanitation department and DEMAND immediate trash removal service from your residence and see what the response is. Better still contact your elected representative and let them know the problems that your are having with live animals and let them know that dead animal removal is a solid waste issue that Animal Control is being saddled with and which needs to be placed with the Solid Waste Department freeing Animal Control Officers up to do enforcement. Police Officers aren't responsible for disposing of dead folks...why are Animal Control Officers treated as garbage men for animals?

A question to ask:  Can the Animal Control Supervisor bring  a dog trap to my property and set it for the offending dog and discuss this matter with me? If the Supervisor cannot make time to meet with you contact your council person. Everybody works for some body.

As far as posioning dogs goes...it's a violation of the state animal cruelty statute. Further, in my experience it's pathological and cowardly. Let me guess? Problems with bedwetting and firestarting in the past? Oh....ongoing. Shooting owned animals and dumping them on the front porch? Genius. I mean it's not like the dogowners would have guns or anything.

I do hope that everybody gets there Animal Control issues worked out and that all the stray dogs are picked up and disposed of....that way next week I can read another one of those, "Oh my God! Animal Control is destroying all these dogs! They are picking them up and KILLING THEM! THIS MUST STOP NOW!" complaints.

We are having the same problem in Mesquitewood. Repeated calls to the Sheriffs Dept, animal control, and a call to the supervisor at animal control have produced no results. This dog is still attacking everyone including bicyclists and defecating on a neighbors front porch every AM. Its time to start asking questions. 1. Why are we paying for a service that we are being denied? Yes your taxes pay their paycheck. 2. When my phone calls to the animal control supervisor have received nothing more than a bored response of "we'll look into it", Who do I contact next? 3. Why do the people that are breaking the law, yes there is a county ordinance against dogs running loose, get away with it. Are we dealing with the "good-old-boy system" again?4. How do we get people to realize that they should not target the dog. It is the people who are breaking the law and should be treated like criminals, not the law abiding people who are just asking the animal control to do their job.
