Now as Paul Harvey says "THE REST OF THE STORY

Contrary to the Bill of Goods offered in the Advocate's Endorsement  Obama is not a nice guy. Obama is not the sightest bit naive. Obama ACTS like a nice guy. Obama ACTS like he's a naive person. Learn the difference between acting and being.
Here is the truth of the matter. What a politician says in private is how he truly feels, what a politician says in public depends on his particular objective that given day.
What Obama said in that private San Francisco fundraiser says more about Obama than anything he has said so far. Most of America would agree that what Obama said that day was detrimental to his getting elected. The aftermath should be interesting.
I found a “confidence” in the American people during the Reagan years; esp. when Reagan carried the national vote by such huge margins for his second term. The fact that the media shovels Liberalism down our throats 24/7; Hollywood shovels Liberalism down our throats 24/7; well, this makes it seem like 50% of the country supports Liberalism when in reality it’s probably more like 25%.
Democrats have a real nightmare on their hands this cycle; running a white woman against a black man eats into their historical base. The female vote and the black vote are absolutely necessary for Democrats if they are to compete in a national election.

Dan Balz of the Washington Posts writes
"What about the group that has drawn the most attention from the Democrats in recent primaries -- the white, working class voters? Clinton has staked her candidacy in large part on the argument that she is far better equipped to win their votes than is Obama.

That has been true in most of the Democratic primaries, but the general election match-ups show that she and Obama fare equally poorly with these voters against McCain. At this point in the campaign, Obama can argue that he does slightly better among these voters than does Clinton.

McCain beats Clinton by 20 points and Obama by 17 points among white, non college voters. He wins whites earning less than $50,000 against both candidates -- by 11 points against Clinton and by 7 points against Obama. "

The difference in the beer and slim jim voters and the brie and merlot sipping effete snobs. They try to hide it but sometimes the odor gets so bad we finally take notice  that the moisture on shoes ain't rainwater
