I agree with Roy Mark. A whole lot of people including some of my relatives don't quite understand socialism and its dangers. I am extremely bored with the democrats at this time. Hillary made a good showing on O'Reilly, and seems more humane than I've ever seen her. The tax increase for people making over $250,000 didn't bother me either. Middle class needs a lower tax rate to survive through this recession. 

The gas cost issue can also be solved with some common sense. Expensive toys need to be docked or stored for a while, and gas effencient compacts need to be used by the diehard commuters. It seems like the baby boomers have forgotten the gas lines, gas rations, and sticker shock of the 70's. Supply and demand folks-we can control our little acre of the world.  The tax break decrease for the middle class will help pay the costs from the acres we can't control.

I am also tired of the oil companies taking the hit for its profits. Apparently, john q public is unaware of the alternate fuels being developed by oil companies. Some are even developing vehicles that use solar power, but get real folks. It takes lots of money-like some of the billions in profits-to get out there and develop or explore alternatives. Car companies wouldn't be suffering if it was so simple.

5. Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

6. Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

7. Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

8. Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

As the old adage goes: “With guns, we are citizens. Without them, we are subjects.” Therefore, I’ll cling to my gun because I really enjoy being a free bird and truly hate kissing someone else’s backside, but that’s just me.

So, Barack, since you threw that supposed insult at me and millions of other gun-needy Americans, I am going to react by doing the five following things:

1. I am going to walk up to my gun cabinet and hug and kiss all of my rifles and shotguns and tell them they are really good guns no matter what any far-left liberal lug nut says about them.

2. Since I just finished my new book, How to Keep Thugs and Bad Boys Away from Daddy’s Little Girl (Thomas Nelson, December 2008), I need a break. Let’s see, what can I do? I know, I just got a custom Ruger #1 elephant gun in 450/400 Nitro Express. I think I’ll go out and celebrate with it in the South Florida swamps next weekend. Clingy me is going to baptize it in wild boar blood as a sort of a cordite warm-up pitch before I go bear hunting in Maine this summer, aoudad and mountain lion hunting in West Texas this fall, and Cape Buffalo hunting in Africa the summer of ‘09. I’m so clingy!

3. I’m going to buy the new Ruger .380 LCP for my lady because she, too, is also kinda clingy.

4. I’m going to cling more to God and Christ than I ever have before.

5. I’m going to vote for John McCain."

Roy Mark brought up the Maher comments.  What he said of Maher's comments has been factual. I see little fact in your comments on Maher.

Please demonstrate how Hitler was a "good Catholic," especially considering how he sent many Catholics to die in the death camps right along with the Jews, including Fr. Maximilian Kolbe, a Catholic priest sent to Aushwitz for publishing tracts critiical of the Nazi regime.

I don't know if the media endorsements mean anything these days. The favorable coverage that they give to their anointed one goes a lot further. In picking and choosing which stories to promote and how prominently they are featured the media has a lot of sway in public opinion. They no longer enjoy the stranglehold that they once did, hence the libs' absolute hate of Fox news. They think that free speech is great as long as it is of their leftist variety and they will brook no competing ideas.

I am not surprised that he has to ask because There is no registration by party in Texas. If a person wishes to vote in a party primary just go to their poll and vote. Your voter registration will be stamped that you voted in the Democrat primary. All that means is that you can not vote in a Republican run off.

In the GENERAL Election in the fall you can vote for who ever you choose. of what ever party Armbrister was running in an election for State Senator from this area. Ken was a major player in the redistricting of Texas which allowed many more Republicans to be elected

When I registered back in 1980, I chose "Democratic" as my affiliation. AND, county commissioners DO count, as every elected office does.
