WILL THE ADVOCATE EVEN ADMIT IT HAPPENED?
Wonder if Edward's $400 haircut got messed up? I always wonder what these men like John Edwards are thinking when they choose to jump into bed with other women while living very public lives. How could they possibly assume that an affair will not be detected and reported in this day and age? Repeatedly, we've seen politicians outed for their sexual peccadillos; repeatedly, more politicians fall into this trap. Most of them are well-educated, they've achieved success professionally and then in the political arena, they've shown thoughtful judgement in the course of their careers, whether or not we always agree with their positions, BUT for some reason, they are incapable of exercising such judgement before they unzip their pants. We all know that politicians are arrogant -- they wouldn't run for office if they didn't have high opinions of their intelligence, abilities, and competence -- and that poltiical success breeds yet more arrogance. But these situations represent more than arrogant confidence that the men will not get caught; they represent sheer stupidity. Some people claim that women become less intelligent when they have babies; it seems clear to me that men's I.Q.'s drop SHARPLY when they're faced with a sexual opportunity. What an absolulte disgrace Edwards is........Horrible. And then to say it was when his wife's cancer was in remission (as if that makes it better) is the most cowardly, deplorable thing to say. I remember the Lewinsky affair was broken by Matt Drudge. Washington Liberal Media ignored one of the biggest stories of the century until they had no choice but to cover it. We no longer have a free press,We have a Left Wing Propaganda Machine that calls itself the free press,

With a somewhat unusual (for him) sense of fairness raggety man posted a list for comparitive guilt for “The Haircut” His list has both Repubs and Dems on it. This is really the first time I have ever seen him admit that sleezeball Democrats actually exist. Example JohnEdwards There are several others who post and blog on here who will never admit that. They have to kid themselves that this is so because they have stated that it doesn’t make them any difference who the candidates are they are not going to judge any farther than Party and are going to vote the straight Dem ticket. I may be wrong but I put ragman in the always vote the straight Dem ticket zombie sheeple.

A practice that has gone on for time in memoriam. The ole' fling. Why do they think they can get away with it in the time of tabloid media, This stuff sells. So they will be caught. However, some will get a pass. Edwards isn't running for anything right now, so the whole thing is rather moot. Others, that weren't mentioned: John McCain, had an affair, married his mistress, now his wife. Other accusations have been leveled, but are they true? That governor of New York guy. Oh yea--Spitzer. Newt Gingrich, can't keep up with him. Bill O'Lielly--he likes his phone sex. I know isn't running for anything, but is a huge hypocrite! JFK, diddled around they say.....press didn't report such things back then. It has been rumored and then substantiated by some women. Angie Dickinson said it was the best 3 minutes of her life. General Eisenhower, had him a girlfriend. William J Clinton, repeat offender. LBJ, come on, Lady Byrd was so sweet. Dick Morris--known prostitute toe sucker. Larry Craig, he has a wide stance on cheating. Mel Reynolds, sex with 16 year old. Mark Foley, he likes boys, the younger the better. Garry Hart, he was "monkeying" around on a boat. But it was a women! Strom Thurman, racist pedophile. Beverly Russell, incest with his daughter. She is in prison for murdering her own children. Right wing family values. Republican anti-abortion activist Neal Horsley admitted to having sex with a mule. Man! His wife must have been sore. He isn't running for office either but had to add--Republican preacher Jimmy Swaggart preached fidelity, but cheated on his wife with a prostitute. Republican Congressman and huge hypocrite Henry Hyde denounced President Clinton's extramarital affair until his own marital infidelities were revealed. Republican Senator Bob Packwood resigned from Congress after 29 women accused him of sexual harassment. Wayne Hays, OK it was in the 70's, but trying to be fair! Sex favors from secretary. Bob Allen, another bathroom bandit. Ted Kennedy, I am sure someone would have an affair with him. David Vitter, prostitute visitor. Dan Burton, the guy who called Pres. Clinton a "scumbag" (that's nasty!) and hounded him for years with investigations----In September 1998, Burton admitted to fathering a son, born in 1983, with a former state employee. After the admission, one report claimed, "During part of the 1970s and '80s, Dan Burton was known as the biggest skirt-chaser in the Indiana legislature . This is in fact a very short list, but I think there is enough bad behavior to go around. People who live in glass houses...................... posted by

The "mainstream media" says they don't expose "trash stories" Good on them. How many other stories are they are not running for other reasons? Who makes this call? And who decides what should be printed? It appears that the National Inquirer really baited Edwards when they ran the original story. Even though Edwards must have known that NI story was true he really took the bait hook line and sinker beyond what must have been only a dream for the NI and categorically denied the whole story. “When the substance hits the fan it will not be evenly distributed in all directions The theme song at the Democrat convention should be “PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSING FLOW” that Edwards did not do any better in the primaries than he did posted by

Politicians have to have a higher level of ego and narcicism than the average person to do what they do. Then they rise to power and that old adage may hit them on the head...and no I don't remember the correct words --but it is about absolute power can be currupting. So can the fawning. As long as there have been politicians, mucians, etc. for some unknown reason there are women who will fawn and be their groupies. They are mesmerized by the person standing in the lime light and some actually think they are so lucky to be with that man, have sex with that man, and believe maybe they are that special lady. Sometimes, they receive money under the table and other favors. Having courtesans (mistresses) has been a long practice going many years back. Both parties willingly did the deed. And yes I think it is so disrespectful to his wife and shows how little he really believes in or cares about his wedding vows. Many voters saw his character flaws way before this came to light. He and his wife had too much of the attitude of Marie Antoinette --let them eat cake. They travel spouting what the common man should do but put themselves above it. So does Obama. If this was a conservative politician -- the newspapers everywhere would be dripping blood. Instead, we have some saying don't tell it. I think the vermin must be shown in the sunlight. posted by

Most of these men start thinking with the wrong head as my dad would say. As far as the Advocate printing anything I wouldn't hold my breath. It's about like the mayor in Detroit the liberal papers and news networks don't mention that he is a Democrat. It's also how they treat the illegal alien problem. All they talk about are the sob stories and very rarely about the victims.
