Hello to all, and to all hello! I certainly hope you all had the chance to glutton yourselves with that wonderful thanksgiving feast, I know I did. And the best part is that, I don't have to buy lunch or get up early to make it, it's all ready to go! Well, now that the niceties have been observed, let us move on. We all read that article on the smoking ban, and I daresay that everyone had the chance to voice his or her opinion on the matter. Then of course there has been the long and drug out till the death argument on gay marriages. Both of these topics, have pros and cons. Here's a bit of irony for you, the foes and opponents of gay marriage are very well smokers, and the supporters of gay marriages oppose smoking in nearly every public place. Seems a bit mixmatched now doesnt it? Then of course, there are people that oppose public smoking and gay marriage and vice versa. My question here is, how can you legalize one and illegalize the other? They're both personal freedoms, and are theorically covered by the bill of rights. People have the right to smoke themselves to death, they also should be provided with a place to do so in public, such as an outside patio or private room within a restaraunt, ect. And people have the right to marry who they choose, regardless of gender, race, political beliefs and affiliations, and or religion. No one's saying that you have to approve of either one, they're just saying that should they choose to exercise this right, then no one, not even the government has the right to enchroach on the right to do so. What is my point you say? My point is, that you can't legalize one and not the other. If you don't like being around smoke, then stay away from places that have it. If you believe gay marriage is morally wrong, then ignore the two men holding hands that just so happen to be three tables from you. Regardless if it's smoking or jen marrying sarah, it's a personal right, and no one can control that. I hope you enjoy the rest of your thanksgiving evening and I bid you good eating if you havent commenced doing so yet.

It's that time of year folks. The mall is crowded with the post christmas shoppers, all the stores here in town are crowded with people looking for the right bird and the fixin's to go with it, and all the exits and entrances of Victoria are filled with people leaving and visiting for the holidays. But, the question that is asked by that small voice inside of me, what's it all for? I know what Christmas is for, sure. It's to celebrate the birth of Christ. But what is Thanksgiving for? I'd been asking myself that ever since I could remember. Then the answer, Thanksgiving is about giving thanks. As blunt as it is to say, I've alot of anger and grudges towards the Church and Christianity as a whole, but at this time, I put aside those feelings and take a moment to realize what I'm thankful for. I am thankful for the wellbeing of myself, my parents, and my friends. I am thankful to be surrounded by people who have stood by me through it all, despite how sticky the situation or rotten my attitude may be. I am thankful for everthing that I have and the chance to be able to possess it. And now, I turn to you, my fellow patrons. What are you thankful for?
well everyone, its over. Senator Obama has taken the gold, and with his transcedance to the presidency, so will be the birth of a new era and the death of the old. Here's a link for cnn, just follow the url: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POL...

I've been a customer care representative for the past 5 months and ive dealt with all sorts of people. The purpose of this blog is to hear it from the customer's view, so tell me about your experiences with customer care over the phone and tell me your views on Customer Service. As always, I look forward to feedback.
note: the original blog was deleted because i mentioned that i intended to deface an entity's property, even though this was intended to be a joke, this was entirely my fault and i apologize if you were trying to make a point and i didnt get to read it. this new blog should make up for that. enjoy. i hate the church. i realize that's a strong statement to believe but it's true. i hate the church because it's dotrines deny us the most basic right of all. the right to be human. anything you say, feel, or do, can be labeled as a sin. endless rules and regulations. who goes up and who goes down and why. as a result we repress ourselves. and the worse part is that the minister, god's spokesman, is much more of a sinner then you or i. im a human being, i was given the power of freewill, and the option to make my own path, and if they don't let me into heaven because i chose to do so, then i guess thats just how the ball bounces I read onewhoshappy's post "To hell in a handbasket"and thought to give a more detailed response, in the form of a blog. It is said by many Christians that we live in a immoral and sinful world. onewhoshappy listed a bunch of things that are wrong with society and I'm just gonna respond to them one by one. We have a problem with gay marriage: haven't we been discussing this for the past week? What people do behind closed doors is their business and their's alone, regardless of how wrong the bible says it is. Couples are living together, and they're not married: And your point in this is...? I dunno about you, but I'd like to date and get to know a girl before I decide to marry her. Besides, their business, not yours. Children are being born out of wedlock: eh, other then it being a tax problem, I dont really care. Alcohol abuse is worse: People have the right to their own choices, if they wanna drink themselfs to death, then so be it. Abortion is more acceptable: Now see, there's something I wont contest. Because I believe, if you can make it, then you take care of it. People are not going to church: look, I work 80 hours a week, to support myself and to help support my parents. I despise the idea of getting up at obscene hour in the morning, getting dressed, going to a building where I have to socialize with a bunch people who are just to happy in the morning, and then sitting in a chair and listen to someone tell me how I should run MY life. It gets a little annoying, even more so in the morning. I get up early in the morning for very few things, and this surely isnt one of them. Well that should do it, as always I look forward to feedback.
I'm fixing to be 19, in 3 days. As I sit at my desk waiting for the day to take full stride I can help but think, 19 and no criminal background. 19 and I'm not married prematurely nor do I have any children. 19 and no alcohol abuse nor drug usage. Isn't that amazing?? I feel so very proud of myself right about now, because I know that I have my entire life ahead of me, and all of it is completely unburdened. Life is good. hey everyone, here's a little quiz that i found. its called the "what color are you" quiz, just follow the url to take the quiz. http://www.wizards.com/magi...
id love to hear some feedback on it. |
