Thought provoking
"the dark is generous. its first gift is concealment: our true faces lie in the dark beneath our skins, our true hearts remain shadowed deeper still. but the greatest concealment lies not in protecting our secrect truths, but in hiding from us the truths of others. the dark protects us from what we dare not know. it's second gift is comforting illusion: the ease of gentle dreams in nights embrace, the beauty that imagination brings to what would repel in day's harsh light. but the greatest of its comforts is the illusion that the dark is temporary: that every night brings a new day. because it is day that is temporary. day is the illusion. its third gift is the light itself: as days are defined by the nights that divide them, as stars are defined by the infinite black through which they wheel, the dark embraces the light and brings it forth from the center of its own self. with each victory of the light, it is the dark that wins."

"the dark is generous, it is patient, and it always wins. it always wins because it is everywhere. it is in the wood that burns in your hearth, and in the kettle on the fire, it is under your chair and under your table and under the sheets on your bed. walk in the midday sun and the dark is with you, attached to the soles of your feet. the brightest light will always cast the darkest shadow."

note: the original blog was deleted because i mentioned that i intended to deface an entity's property, even though this was intended to be a joke, this was entirely my fault and i apologize if you were trying to make a point and i didnt get to read it. this new blog should make up for that. enjoy.

i hate the church. i realize that's a strong statement to believe but it's true. i hate the church because it's dotrines deny us the most basic right of all. the right to be human. anything you say, feel, or do, can be labeled as a sin. endless rules and regulations. who goes up and who goes down and why. as a result we repress ourselves. and the worse part is that the minister, god's spokesman, is much more of a sinner then you or i. im a human being, i was given the power of freewill, and the option to make my own path, and if they don't let me into heaven because i chose to do so, then i guess thats just how the ball bounces

I read onewhoshappy's post "To hell in a handbasket"and thought to give a more detailed response, in the form of a blog.  It is said by many Christians that we live in a immoral and sinful world. onewhoshappy listed a bunch of things that are wrong with society and I'm just gonna respond to them one by one.

We have a problem with gay marriage: haven't we been discussing this for the past week? What people do behind closed doors is their business and their's alone, regardless of how wrong the bible says it is.

Couples are living together, and they're not married: And your point in this is...? I dunno about you, but I'd like to date and get to know a girl before I decide to marry her. Besides, their business, not yours.

Children are being born out of wedlock: eh, other then it being a tax problem, I dont really care.

Alcohol abuse is worse: People have the right to their own choices, if they wanna drink themselfs to death, then so be it.

Abortion is more acceptable: Now see, there's something I wont contest. Because I believe, if you can make it, then you take care of it.

People are not going to church: look, I work 80 hours a week, to support myself and to help support my parents.  I despise the idea of getting up at obscene hour in the morning, getting dressed, going to a building where I have to socialize with a bunch people who are just to happy in the morning, and then sitting in a chair and listen to someone tell me how I should run MY life. It gets a little annoying, even more so in the morning. I get up early in the morning for very few things, and this surely isnt one of them.

Well that should do it, as always I look forward to feedback.

I'm fixing to be 19, in 3 days. As I sit at my desk waiting for the day to take full stride I can help but think, 19 and no criminal background. 19 and I'm not married prematurely nor do I have any children. 19 and no alcohol abuse nor drug usage. Isn't that amazing?? I feel so very proud of myself right about now, because I know that I have my entire life ahead of me, and all of it is completely unburdened. Life is good.
