If you cannot afford it, don't buy it...
I saw this again and it is just funny. Simple but funny. Just a little skit that our politicians, fed, state and local, should be FORCED to sit down and learn. Also some people who sign mortgages, have out of control credit cards, etc.

That is wet-your-pants funny. SNL skits remind me of that Mother Goose rhyme about the little girl with a curl in the middle of her forehead: "When she was good, she was very, VERY good, but when she was bad she was horrid." And THANK YOU very much for bringing this web site to my attention. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to spend the rest of the day watching SNL video clips. posted by

It's not common today for people to actually live within their means. I would buy stuff on my credit cards that I didn't really need in my late teens and twenties. Have to admit I was a slow learner about those things, but I did stop using the instant credit cards as I saw that I was helping to make the New York bankers rich with the interest I and millions of others generated for them. Then I met Pat.... the German miser from Lavaca County. He's so tight he squeaks when he walks (and he was nice and handsome too). After we got married, I started taking on many of his accounting practices, we were able to buy our last two cars cash. Not bragging, just amazed, as it seems like CREDIT seems to be such an American thing. We have credit cards, but pay them off every month. It's just a good habit. Now, if our government could do that! posted by
