Let Sleeping Dogs Lie!

You know the old adage of “let sleeping dogs lie” should really be adhered to at times.  Why would someone want to deliberately stir the pot? To infer that there will be violence if the silent majority doesn’t back off?  He’s notified the authorities?  Just who might that be?  Authorities in Goliad or Victoria?  County Commissioners?  Does he think these educated people employed  by the TCEQ are morons?  The geologists, the environmental experts (and I don’t mean the Sierrites), the hydrologists?  Is Texas A&M spewing forth “on the take” idiots?

Kenny’s comment that my husband and I attended the meeting concerning the TTC coming through Mission Valley is about the only truthful statement in his blog.  When someone puts a map in the local newspaper showing property that will be used for a “super highway” to facilitate China, Mexico and Spain with no benefit to the United States, I think it is time to protect what my ancestors fought so hard to acquire.  There was no doubt that ½ of my homestead would have disappeared beneath asphalt including two on-site family cemeteries and my grandparents house.  There was no doubt it would have taken the majority of my sister’s property in Coletoville.  There was no doubt it would have taken ALL of our togetherness in this community!

Each day more and more Goliad landowners are opening their eyes and ears to the truth.  Soon the silent majority will make a statement and those who like to throw around big words and make bold statements on a “blog” that most Goliad County people do not even know exists will find out just how  most South Texas citizens feel!
