We are awaken by Officer Smith knocking on my grandmothers door whom we are vistiting for the weekend, this guy is writing a ticket to my brother and I because he says that everyone who is parked illegally on my grandmothers block will be issued a ticket ! The whole thing started because he obivously has some beef with a guy who is running for city council on the street , as he was giving this guy a ticket for "parking" his boat on the sidewalk  the guys proceeds to say well "if you are going to issue me a ticket then you need to issue everyone on this block that has something wrong like : parking the wrong way , parking too far from the curb etc. So I was given a ticket for parking my truck on the sidewalk, which is pulled next to my grandmothers car and barely on the sidewalk but oh well I still got the ticket, he gives my brother a ticket for parking more the 18 inches away from the curb . What ever happened to a warning ? I guess this "cop" had to prove a point ! Well let me see the only thing that you did was pissed alot of sleeping folks off ! My reason for writing this is because like I said in the begining I was visiting my grandmother. We no longer live in Victoria , therefore since I think this ticket was a bunch of bs. I would have to go back to Victoria to fight the ticket which is only 60 bucks , but I have feel like the principal behind it out weighs the amount of the ticket. It will cost be well over 60 bucks in gas to come back to Victoria ! Please let me know what my fellow victorians are thinking on this?
