One hour to go, and I just decided to scramble my text so those busy little hacks in cyberspace can't steal my story. I sent it in, knowing in my heart I beat the 50k word minimum... and I did... final word count 57,535.

I did it for myself. Indeed, if you look at my profile, it is similar to the one here, no one friended me or added me this month on their NanoWriMo profiles, and true, I was not in it for friends. I was there to give myself a deadline, and follow through. It was weird, typing at weird hours or when I knew I should be doing something else. I did not do any pf the "writer" stereotypes like drink lots of coffee at night or drink lots of alcohol like a true Hemingway man, but there I was, in my office which is where I have to be to write anything, surronded by the images, toys, and music I love, to write about something I knew nothing about, and hey, there it is. A neat little certificate that will look good on my wall, and a neat little icon that I can post here too.
