For the past three years I have kept an online journal, I have always written a post at the end of the year to take stock of what I have just been through.
It's the odometer effect I keep saying we have. It makes us keep our birthdates, anniverseries, it lets us think we can always start over if we just reset the clock within ourselves.
My wife is out of town, visting relatives, I had to work so I stayed behind and will be spending New Year's eve with a few friends.
Please don't feel...
Looking at The Advocate, I found a story that caught my eye, you can read it here...
Kilt Controversey Hits Close To Home
I find that interesting, because I remember this way back in 1992. My brother, you see, was one of the infamous kilt wearers who got kicked out of class and whose choice of dress made them a national story. I can still remember the day someone came up to me after 3rd period and said They took your brother out of class
I think he was suspended.
It...

Shameless Plug:
My brother is a graphic designer and artist. He's probably the best one you have never heard of.
Even as a kid, I can remember him sitting down at the table with huge pieces of butcher paper. His talent was evident even then.
He sees things differently than most people, if I ask him to draw me a picture of say... an elephant, it would be much better than the picture I have in my head.
I'm not just saying that 'cause he's my brother, I'm saying that 'cause I've met...
So the news is out... Christopher Robin, who is the main human charcter behind the "Winnie The Pooh" series, is stepping down for a new character who is a girl.
I'm not sure how they plan to do this. The Christopher Robin character is based on the author's son.
Leave it to the folks at Disney to screw up an icon.

Winnie The Pooh Gets A New Friend
The White Brothers are a trio of brothers that have been a major part of my musical life. Throughout my musical career, there has always been at least one of the trio in my band, playing right alongside me. Musicians are superstitious people. I never set out to make sure I have a White in my band, but it just ends up that way. For the better too I think, when one isnt in the band for a month or two, the music doesnt rock like it should, I think I need a member of the bloodline to...
The first installment of Chronicles Of Narnia opens today. Its got a look reminiscent of the Tolkien trilogy, and that should bring a lot of people to the theater. Not to mention, that the Chronicles Of Narnia has been loved by readers of all ages for years.
Of course, now there is much praise and buzz by the Religious Right over C.S Lewis, who is categorized as a Christian author. Critics claim that the story is full of allegories and Christian metaphors. They see the...

I love Christmas. I think I get it from my mom. This time of year, shes the happiest she will be all year. (Of course her birthday was yesterday, so that might have something to do with it.) At this moment, I can imagine her creating some sort of ornament or knick knack for her house, The drummer boys and nativity scene will be set up, as well as various Santas, snowmen, wreaths, garland, and photos of Christmas pasts. Dickens on The Strand was done this weekend, and a...
According to a news story on Yahoo News, a committee of theologians is going to ask the Pope to eliminate the teaching of Limbo in the Catholic Catechism.
You can read the story here:
Pope Suspend Limbo??
Now, Im a little confused
Is Limbo the same as Purgatory? I always thought that they kind of were, but then again Im no scholar. Its always something that sounded similar and I just assumed they were. But I tell you, if theres no Purgatory, some of us...
