National Napping Day
National Napping Day will be celebrated all day today. The reason that this is celebrated is because it is the first day after the beginning of daylight savings time. I had never heard about it until I heard it on a local radio station. I was curious to know what it actually was about so I "google" National Napping Day. Sure enough there is a website, http://www.napping.com/napp..., who would have thought that it would have a website. Check it out and see what you think. It explains what National Napping Day is all about and what people are doing to celebrate this. It seems like this has been going on for years but this is the first time I have heard of it. I celebrated the occasion TWICE! Partly because of nasal congestion and the medication I was taking for it. But my heart was in the right place.

I hadn't heard about National Napping Day before, but I'm all for it. I had the good fortune of taking the day off. My parents, visiting from out of town, took a well-deserved nap on the sofa while the kids and I watched a movie on a rainy afternoon. We popped popcorn, shared a blanket and warmed ourselves by the fire. A splendid day was had by all.
