The Truth
I began submitting posts on this website in defense of Charlie Jaynes because he was being attacked from all sides. I am not speaking for Dr. Jaynes....just giving my own views. Mrs. Keeling has commercials on the air that are not true. His wife, kids, grandkids, the drill team, anyone who is affiliated with the drill team has suffered attacks. His motives for running for the school board have been under scrutiny since he began his campaign. All while this is going on, Charlie Jaynes has complimented Tami Keeling, Bob Moore, the VISD Board and... continued to STAND STRONG IN HIS CAMPAIGN EFFORTS...Wanting to make a difference in VISD. I wanted Ms. Keeling to admit that she was wrong when she put a commercial on public TV that "CHARLIE JAYNES CAN ONLY VOTE ON 20% OF THE BUDGET". That is not a true statement. She has called it a "MISIMPRESSION". For me, that is close enough to saying "I was wrong". And it bothers/angers me when a "reputable" person tries to win at any cost.... LET'S JUST PLAY FAIR..... Warmore, any decent politician can sling the crap and tel the public what it wants to hear. the good ole doc is just the jester in the queens court. He isnt doing this for his grand kids, I cant understand why he is. He has to be a pretty emotionally sick cookie. He has to be a woose. Years ago His queen manipulated him out of his marriage to a good woman. Any man with sound mind would have stopped the parade of BEVERLY HILLBILLIES this evening. What Kind of candidate causes a commotion on the bussiest street in town at peak traffic time on Friday evening. A commotion that has to have police disband it. I agree. Ive not seen or heard of anyone who is backing him other than drill team folks, collegues and personal freinds. and arent it a shame, mostl of them are previous drill team people. Queen Jaynes of Victoriadoreville always has a posse of loyal subjects n tow. You people know the kind, the Cruella De Villes of the world, putting on airs like that really have something in this life...............well, life arent fair and if by some miracle he gets elected, God rest his soul because there will be a posse to make darned sure he does no one thing wrong..........they will be at every school board meetng anda couple of them wil run for the board when their district elects. I think the people of Victoria can see what a traveling medicine show he is and how professional that Mrs. Keeling is. As far as I can find, she has NO emotional baggage, doesnt play headgames and arent the parent of any jailbirds or pole dancers. SEE YOU AT IHOP

Did you attend the debate sponsored by the Leage of Women Voters? If you had ...you would have heard his very public compliments regarding Tami, the board, Mr. Moore and VISD. Since you are not a Jaynes supporter, that probably would have been your only opportunity to hear him speak. However, I have attended Jaynes campaign events and he has done so numerous times. Dr. Jaynes has already placed himself in a vicarious position by running for school board. Given the fact his son-in-law and wife are employed by VISD his motives for running for school board could be questionable. Voting on benefits and salaries for VISD employees would be a conflict of interest since a raise for a family member would benefit his family income. I have taught Business Ethics at the local college for many years. Ethics are what we learn as being right or wrong. I am sure Dr. Jaynes is an ethical man, however he will be faced with many choices as to what is "right" for VISD. Are his motives "right" for VISD?

May I ask just when he did this? His wife puts herself under fire breaking rules. I know of the events that some posters speak about with their adult children and I agree that if they cannot raised adults who dont break the law, I dont want him representing me on the school board or having a hand in my kids education, 3/5 of the children they parented have a bad rap.......that arent vry good odds.

You know what really gets me is that you only see these ppl come out when its election time. They plea for our votes. I am not saying that Tami has not done her job. I just think its time for change and I believe Dr. Jayne's can and will deliver this to us. I mean just about 6months ago we all were ousting all the board on another forum for bringing a criminal to our district. Again, I say change. posted by

Ask Mrs. Keeling what her health concerns are. Dr. Jaynes has made his very clear. What are Tami's? In Tami's commercials, she said clearly that he "cannot vote on 80% of the issues" That is pretty clear to me. I am insinuating nothing. Just stating the facts. The drill team is not a conflict of interest just as basketball for Tami is not a conflict of interest. I wonder why people can't move on where the drill team is concerned. Why don't you let that process begin with you???!!! Tami is running her campaign on points that she has chosen...let Dr. Jaynes do the same thing. He should not have to defend himself against the drill team.., or his family, or his son-in -law or whatever ludicrous point that is thrown in his face.....and it has happened over and over again.

Warmore Hey if you know Dr. Jaynes so well what are the health concerns he has for our students? Is he for teaching about birth control and abortion. Please shed some light on this issue for all of us. Does he want to change the current sex education that is done in the district? posted by

Hey Warmore if you would pay attention to the commercial it says clearly that he has a CONFLICT OF INTEREST she has NOT LIED as you have insinuated. I think you are attacking her character! She too has complemented Dr. Jaynes I have heard it personally. How is the drill team hurt with the fact that there is a CONFLICT of INTEREST here??? Or is this another drill team drama we are experiencing in this election. What is his real reason for running? Don't you think people in Victoria can see right through all of this it is really old and EVERYONE needs to move on. Actually most of are trying to but this keeps resurfacing!!!!!! Here is the truth VISD is moving forward, the change that is happening will take more time. Bob Moore is doing a GREAT job. We voted on the bond issue and we were clearly told how the monies would be spent and that CANNOT change! Tamil Keeling is doing her job for US, she is working FOR US!!!.
