I’ve spoken with our local American Red Cross chapter, and Parkway Church has agreed to be a drop off location for donations of water, non-perishable food items, diapers, formula, toiletries, etc. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT clothing of any kind.

 Parkway Church will be a distribution center for those needing these items. As time progresses and the need has decreased, we will transport the items to the affected area.

 We will also accept gift cards or monies to be donated towards purchasing gift cards for food and gas.

 The Red Cross office stated that there are currently approximately 60 families here in Victoria that are displaced because of Ike. I believe there are many more.  As of Saturday evening, the local hotels were booked with families from the affected areas.

 I will need a team to help collect, organize, and distribute the items. I welcome any and all volunteers. Please feel free to call me or come by the Ministry Center .
