 Early Morning 10/07 Coffee On Deck? Anaqualady Bay of Reflections http://community.victoriaadvocate.com/home/Blog/Anaqualady/5215 http://community.victoriaadvocate.com/home/Blog/Anaqualady/5215 <p><font face="Verdana" color="#003300">I live in Rockport but read the online edition of the Victoria Advocate every day.&nbsp; Since I use to live in Yorktown and do most of my business and shopping in Victoria I am familiar with the area.&nbsp; My oldest daughter along with my grandsons live and&nbsp;work and go to school in Victoria.</font></p> <p><font face="Verdana" color="#003300">Living in Rockport is nice.&nbsp; We still have to go to Corpus or Victoria for any major shopping and it has been that way for years.&nbsp; If you have the money you can just sit around here and fish and golf until the cows come home.&nbsp; That is not my case - I only wish it were.&nbsp; I work for a living as most of us do.&nbsp; If I get a chance I do a little poor boy fishing - from the dock or banks.&nbsp; I love to fish and I love to eat fish.&nbsp; </font></p> <p><font face="Verdana" color="#003300">We have the standard HEB and&nbsp;</font><font face="Verdana" color="#003300">&nbsp;WalMart here.&nbsp; I sometimes think of what it would be like if we had more of a choice.&nbsp; Years ago I remember Super S and Handy Andy somewhere in the coastal bend but no longer.&nbsp; If we don't like to shop at the above mentioned stores - then too durn bad!&nbsp;I use to rememer a little grocery store on the back streets of Victoria (Laurent?) </font><font face="Verdana" color="#003300">but can't seem to remember the name of it.&nbsp; Wonder if it is still there?&nbsp; </font></p> <p><font face="Verdana" color="#003300">So we continue to live in South Texas and shop and play where we can.&nbsp; Does anyone care any longer about what We want or where We would like to shop or are we just being&nbsp;&nbsp;</font><font face="Verdana" color="#003300">guided like sheep to the places they want us to go?&nbsp; Am I the only one that this bothers? </font></p>
