<description>After being off active duty in the Navy since 1991, I joined the Army for three years. Two weeks into my training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, I broke my leg in the middle of an ice storm. Stay tuned for my take on life and the lighter side of the military....if I make it to my new duty station.</description>

<itunes:summary>After being home for 30 days of convalescent leave, I have returned to the scene of the accident......Ft Leonard Wood. Leaving Houston, the temperature was 80 and upon arrival in MO, the temperature was 34 and snowing. Not an enjoyable prospect since I am still recovering from a broken leg that happened on the ice and snow here in February! By the grace of god the snow did not stick and I continue to recover without further incident. I am currently assigned to a basic training unit that just received brand new recruits last week. The stories I could tell about their first few days here. That wil have to wait as 0430 arrives sooner than I want it to.</itunes:summary>
