Leaving Houston, the temperature was 80 and upon arrival in MO, the temperature was 34 and snowing. Not an enjoyable prospect since I am still recovering from a broken leg that happened on the ice and snow here in February! By the grace of god the snow did not stick and I continue to recover without further incident. I am currently assigned to a basic training unit that just received brand new recruits last week. The stories I could tell about their first few days here. That wil have to wait as 0430 arrives sooner than I want it to.
