I hope you will lean on others at this time, as the burden of losing a loved one so close to you is a lot to shoulder. Hospice is a Godsend, or at least it was to us as my mother was in her final days. Let them help you and your family, and be sure to tell your sister just what she means to you. You may assume she already knows, but there will be no sweeter words to her ears at this time, I promise you. My brother passed away of leukemia when he was 9 and I was only 5 and didn't understand. I hope you'll be okay just know your always in our thoughts and prayers. I don't think the full impact has really hit me yet. Our prayers are for the Lord to be merciful to her. she's tired and ready to go. They increased the strength of her pain meds today. Now she's so limp they can't get her out of the floor from her last fall. the Hospice nurse said to cover her up and leave her right where she is. If she's not in bed she can't fall out of it again. Her one daughter came up from Louisiana and has been with her nearly around the clock for several days. She's about exhausted herself.
