Ratcliff, Tyler.....Joe Horn No Billed Victoria Mayor Indicted....... - A Pirate Aground In The City - pilot's Blog - Victoria Advocate

Heroes, zeroes, perverts and who knows. I read or heard somewhere that the DA can get an indictment against a ham sandwich. That may be so, but at some point the facts have to be sorted out. I think if there is a weak link in the chain, it may well be the DA-grand jury relationship, as that does seem to bear the greatest potential for a railroading or an injust no-billing. Once it hits the trial phase, there are a lot more elements........good/inept lawyers, etc., appeals and stays and such, that ultimately all lend themselves to a somewhat fair and allegedly impartial verdict. One thing about it all, is that it doesn't in this YouTube, digital day and age, pass muster without some serious scrutiny, and debate anymore, does it? BUbba JOe Horn, shot two illegals in the back in his front yard, for breaking into and robbing his neighbor's house......and for all the hoopla, was nobilled, and will be interviewed by Diane Sawyer tomorrow on Good Morning America.....city happenings, western justice meets the illegal immigrant at sundown, and the whole world is entrhralled and he gets his fifteen minutes of fame. Do you think the Victoria Mayor and related indictments are going to make GMA? Nah. How about Ratcliff and his seedy little local yokel proceedings........? Maybe five years down the road on 48 Hours if they are having trouble coming up with a good dirty laundry story, but likely as not, it will end with a plea and a quiet few years of time done by Mr Ratcliff. The only way the courts will ever be truly fair, and impartial, is if and when the cameras and the media is not allowed to glorify or villify, in advance, any given case, and jurists aren't exposed to their potential "fifteen minutes of fame. Report the arrests, report the verdict, and let the system function as designed during the process, without intervention from the media.........

Jul 2, 2008 at 08:07 AM : This whole Joe Horn...

This whole Joe Horn thing is unbelievable!! The man shot two people -- in the back -- as they were running away from his neighbor's house. The 911 operator had told him numerous times to NOT go outside, NOT to shoot anyone, NOT to get involved. But he did it anyway. It was like one of those ... "Here, hold my beer and watch this" moments we hear about. Joe Horn was not in any danger, he was not being threatened. It just blows my mind that he was not indicted!!! Wow!!! I mean, he shot them IN THE BACK as they were running away. What makes this okay?

Jul 2, 2008 at 04:07 PM : The two burglers...

The two burglers didn't get their due process. Mr. Horn has yet to get his due process. He will - from the US Dept. of Justice. Feds do not cotton to lynch and let lynch attitudes. How soon will the bar-b-que joints on the east side be serving Pasadena crow?
