Far be it from me to trash Wade.  He was our quarterback and middle linebacker when I was in high school and his daddy was our coach before they both went to UH.  That being said, though, I do believe the Cowboys have been out coached lately.  The surprise on-side kick the Bengals pulled off is one example.  Now, I understand that the head coach doesn't fumble or drop passes or miss tackles, but side by side, I think the team would benefit from the promotion of Jason Garrett.  Wade is about 61 or 62 and rich.  I don't think he has the fire in his belly any more.  His staff and talent on the field have made him look good.  Wade is a better defensive coach than head coach in my opinion. The Cowboys have a good one-two punch at running back and a better than average quarterback.  The wide receivers are worth their money, for the most part and they have the best tight end in the business.  That being said, however, they seem to have to be in the mood to play as a team.  The receivers drop way too many passes and Romo has butter fingers too often.  The line protects him when it suits them.  The defense is way too religious -- that is it's holey.  For the most part, they don't tackle.  They will hit and knock the daylights out of a runner or receiver, but if they don't knock them down, the defenders end up chasing them.  They don't wrap their arms around anybody and TACKLE.  They don't even hold on till help arrives.  The Cowboys beat Philadelphia early, but I have serious doubts they can do it when they play next time unless the Eagles have more key injuries.  The Boys were beaten badly by the Redskins and will probably get another whipping when they meet again.  The Giants don't have the same team that won the Super Bowl, but they are still potent.  I doubt Dallas can do better than split with them and will be lucky to do that.  Yeah, I do expect better from the Cowboys than we've been seeing.  I have been a fan since day one when Eddie LaBaron was splitting quarterback duties with Don Maredith and it kills me to see them look bad.  I don't, however, think they are the team that was so highly tauted before the season.
