Saturday October 6th was Opening day of the Texas Renaissance Festival. I really do enjoy opening day since you get discount tickets and the actors are on their game for the first day of the season.
Each weekend is a different theme. October 6th and 7th is Octoberfest with traditional German music and dancing. On October 13th and 14th all of your most magical fantasies come to life as elves, wizrds, and faeries enchant the streets with 1001 Dreams. On October 20th and 21st Goblins, Ghouls, and spooks abound as all things creepy, crawly and scary emerge from the mists for All Halloweens Eve. In November on the 3rd and 4th all will hail to Caesar as they honor the glory of Rome with Roman Bacchanal. The weekend of November 10th and 11th His majesty's own sister Margaret, Queen of Scotland, and her Royal Court becon all of ye and dance a Highland Fling.
