Happy Singles Awareness Day (or S.A.D. for short!) to all of my fellow swinging singles here in V-Town! My name is Wendy, but my fellow singles and friends can call me Lola!
For those of you wondering, S.A.D. is a day created by myself and some very good friends. We are not necessarily anti-Valentine's; we are just tired of getting the shaft on this Cupid infested holiday designed by all of the card and candy companies catering to all of the lovey-dovey couples out there. We just feel that we shouldn't be counted out of this holiday, so we found a way to make it our own!
So if there are any other singles out there who wish to stand up with us and be counted, then simply proclaim Feb. 14th YOUR Singles Awareness Day, and know that you are not alone in this town!
So far, I have two new single friends joining our S.A.D. family! So, to the two ladies at the Laurent Starbucks location, I salute you! Sport those buttons proudly!
