As a teen I realize that life will knock you down and hardly ever help you back up. This poem will tell you so much about what I've learned and my take on life so far......
You were there for me but not really. Half the time you were merely a shadow over my shoulder but no words to express your emotions or love for me. When I needed you I was just stupid cause I didn't need someone like you around me. Everytime I'd call on you for help you turn your back and hear nothing. I guess all drunks are that way or at least you were. I wanted to tell you how I hated you like that but I never got the courage to stand up to you. I doubt you'll ever see this which is why I don't care how you are or where you are. Just fall of the face of the earth cause your my past and now I have someone who does care and isn't a drunk! At least who I have now can see a good thing when he has it unlike you who drank away your anger then took it out on me! GOOD RIDENCE TO YOU !
