I think it is common in life to feel at some point or another, bombarded with the world. There is no "the world is a burden" philosophy present in this publishing, but an observation.
Adam Sandler's character on "Click" experienced the same thing, but lacked time to do it all. I wouldn't want a remote like he did (give me an iPod).
The issue in my life is life moving to fast. I'm graduating in May (yeahhhh), holding down a steady job, getting married in September, buying a house, and attempting to balance family, friends, ministry, and my fiancee. It just feels like things are happening all too quicky. Do not read too deeply into what is on the screen; I would not trade it in for anything. However, it is a bombardment.
On another note, very funny story. Whose terrible at seeing resemblances: this guy! I talking to a friend of mine who presents his children to me: one boy, one...
