So out of shear boredom waiting for my news pages to be ready to send to press, I decided to check out what's going in the world. I click on a favorite website that posts links to news stories.
I was intrigued to see that they had the 2008 TIME 100 influential people of the year finalists already. So I clicked on the story to check it out.
What I read shocked me. By 1,892,982 votes was Shigeru Miyamoto. The 55-year-old video game designer has revolutionized the gaming industry, but come on...most influential? He's followed by Rain, a 25-year-old Korean pop sensation and Stephan Colbert. The rest of the top five, Tyler Perry and Heidi Klum.
