The San Antonio Spurs let one slip away. Wednesday's debacle was demoralizing. It was nauseating and probably caused many to call in sick to work on Thursday. It also made some wake up with a spring in their step. But it's not the end of the world for the Spurs loyalist amongst us.  Sure, it may be the start of the end, but it's not time to panic. Not quite yet, anyway. San Antonio did a lot of things right in the 89-85 loss. It built a big lead and looked to be in control. They just didn't have an answer for No. 24. The Spurs watched as Kobe Bryant came out of nowhere to have a great game. You can't really blame the Spurs for letting Bryant run loose though. After all, who is Kobe anyway. It's not like he's the best player in the league or anything like that. Who could have seen him scoring 25 points in the second half.
